I’m sorry for your loss brother. Genuinely. It does get better though. Time does heal, not to say it won’t gut you ever now and again I lost one of my best friends in a car accident 2 years ago. Can’t tell you how many nights I just cried. Seeing his sons face and talking with his mom always gets me. You eventually start to laugh about all the good times you had instead of cry. He was the most real person I knew. He told me he was suicidal...and I knew what that felt like. I'd been there, almost jumped off that bridge. Of all things to share a bond over, the feeling of wanting to kill yourself. And we talked through it. And I really felt a bond that I will never forget. FUCK, I literally can't sleep rn dude. I remember being in high school. I got off at Burger King drove home excited to see my brother (my best friend we did everything together) and play some music we wrote music all the time. I couldn’t find him. I called and heard his phone ringing on the back porch. I walked outside and my brother was hanging from the tree we used to climb as kids. His hands were purple and were so swollen they doubled in size. His eye balls bulging out of his head and his tongue swollen pushing out off the cracks between his top teeth and his bottom. I cut him down after calling the cops. I held him. I remember feeling how cold his skin was. The ambulance and fire department had to drag me away from him. A piece of me died that night with him. I turned to drugs. I was already a full blown heroin addict before I started my senior year. Some how I graduated and I don’t know how I’m still alive. I can’t count the number of times I have overdosed and came out of it alive just to go do it again. I hated the thought of being here without him. Years later I remember being in the shower while my sister and niece was over she was outside talking to my mother and I heard my brother whisper in my ear “check on the baby” i went in the living room and my niece was choking on one of those building blocks like Lincoln logs. Idk if I was hallucinating or not but I heard it. I felt like he was with me after that. I got sober. It took a very fucking long time relapse after relapse but now I’m 6 years sober and I have a little boy. I named him Patrick after his uncle that’s not here to see him. It still fucking hurts dude. That was 2009 when he died. It feels like a few months ago. I’m still not okay. Random days of depression. Fighting through it putting on a fake smile for my son so he doesn’t worry.. it never gets easier. You just learn how to deal with it as much as it hurts. Sorry you got to go through it. It’s fucked up dude.

The voice could have been a mental side effect of the heroin use. Heroin tends to amplify whatever underlying issues were there and makes it reach a full head when psychosis has taken over. It could be a slight minor side effect and the rational side of your brain tried to tell you it was the ghost of your brother. My uncle started the same way , now he hears voices of all the people he’s wronged plotting on him. And when he’s out in public his anxiety has amplified to schizophrenia. One of his triggers is random people looking at him questionably. He starts to think the FBI is following him and that random strangers who look at him for too long is plotting to get him arrested or kill him bc He molested and raped everyone in our family as kids. And not just us. Countless others.

I wasn't the greatest fan of Sad Frosty. I didn't listen to every song, I didn't know every lyric, I didn't dye my hair blue and yellow, but I enjoyed his music and his presence. (He always seemed so out of place, it was funny and awesome.) I'm not sure why this hurts so much, as someone who was not close to Frosty, but I think it's because he was still underground. His music wasn't the "pinnacle of my lyrical miracle lately I've been getting spiritual", but it was feel good and fun. A while back watching your videos, I distinctly remember you saying something along the lines "Crypt, its not just about who can rap faster brother bear" which I found absolutely hysterical. Its stood out to me for so long because it sounded like something my brother would say that I would try to adopt myself because i found it and him so damn funny. Hearing that it came from frosty makes that memory that much more endearing to me. I just want to say how much of an inspiration you guys are to me. The only reason I started to make music was because of my love for the underground. People like Quadeca, Moxas, and Sad Frosty play an important and special part of what I love. When I saw Frosty's gram, I thought it was some sort of like upcoming project and I didn't believe it at first. Sad Frosty was such a cool guy. Never met him, obviously, but the way his energy and music impacted everyone was just amazing. I still can't seem to comprehend that he his really gone.
