Remembrance Episode 9- Breaking Point

After over a year we continue the journey with 50 minutes packed with feels and drama galore . Reactions and reviews are encouraged, just be sure to credit the original work. A lot of passion went into this episode so be sure to share it around and let people know that Remembrance is back!

Before you comment: I know that this episode took a long time. Things happened that were just unavoidable and I had to start over from scratch when my computer deleted my files. I get that "Oh this took a year to make" jokes are fun and all but please don't comment things like that. They are getting really aggressive and have gotten to the point of belittling me for taking so long to finish. It's very rude to the cast as well. I apologize none the less though and can assure you that ep10 and ep11 will not take as long.

All things that they can use to free celestia. And this series is basically the grieving cycle in extremes and the various ways people experience it. Same steps but in different orders, lengths, and expressions

After coming back to rewatch this series, the concept of Alicorns being immortal reminded me of a favorite book I read in middle school. It’s called Tuck Everlasting, and it’s basically about this girl named Winnie who leaves the comfort of her fenced in yard to explore the woods she was warned to stay away from. When she explores the woods she’s comes across a family “The Tucks” A mother and father and their sons and it turns out they are immortal after drinking from a spring they found. While the mother and the youngest son loved the idea of being immortal and living their lives care free. The father and oldest son talk to Winnie about how they hated being immortal and how they wished they could perish like people they meet eventually do. Mr. Tuck and Miles (the oldest son) talk how it is a curse, they tell Winnie that’s she’s lucky and tell her not to drink from the spring. Miles eventually loses his wife and daughter when the started to age and they realized that he couldn’t because he was immortal. He watched them leave him, and he eventually saw his wife pass on and he watched how his daughter grew into an old lady and she perished too. Long story short, it’s an amazing book and I can talk about it for hours, but this series reminded me of that book.

Well, things are really boiling over here in this episode. It’s sad to think that Flurry was fearing that she was turning into her frozen-hearted mother, trying to isolate herself from others and all. It’s a good thing that Galaxy is there to remind her to be strong. It’s about time that Discord admitted his feelings over the loss of Fluttershy. His song had me going, that and the scene when he read Flutters’ letter to him. I liked the scene when Twilight was having a conversation with Cadance, something I’ve been waiting to see all this time. The two of them reminiscing on the good times was a heartwarming scene. I hope Cadance has a heart to heart talk with Flurry after the misunderstanding she heard during that conversation. Then there’s the scene with Luna’s information about the resurrection spell that her parents used to bring back the loved ones they lost and payed the ultimate price in doing so. I wonder if Twilight is going to go through with that spell after hearing what Luna had to say. She’d better think hard or things will go down to the South Pole in the worst way. Things are already looking bleak with Nightmare Star and the other Nightmares building their army. All being said, I really enjoyed this latest episode of Remembrance, and as always, I’m looking forward to the next one! Excellent job to all of you (Ashley, cast, artists, etc.)!

Wait a two part series finale that leads into Argo's Remembrance video? This is going to be really interesting. Ashley thank you to you and everyone who is a part of this project. Even though there are large gaps between episodes the story is wonderful and a beautiful piece of work. The artists giving us wonderful art to look at while we listen to the story unfold. The voice actors doing what they do best and being amazing at it. Thank you Ashley for your dedication to this project and to the community who has come to love the project as well. I hope that even after the series where it leads into Argo's video we return and have a chance to see Nightmare Star's fall and see the story unfold a little more before the true end of them. Thank you again so much and keep at it we all support you and look forward to the next installation of this project.

I seriously love your writing choices in this series and there were a lot of things I didn't expect in this episode. All of the characters need to have therapy sessions, though it will probably never happen lol. This series has been a mountain of feels so far! I'm sorry you've received so much crap about it.. Fandoms can be really toxic(ironic for a fandom of a series about friendship). Crappy fandom behavior aside, I'm really glad you addressed how Discord is handling losing Fluttershy! That song and journal sequence was heart wrenching! I don't remember an example in the show canon where Discord dropped that "I don't care" façade. Aside from his initial revelation that he really did value and want Fluttershy's friendship. It was nice to see that side of him for more than a split second. The whole plot thread with Cadence and the death of Shining also caught me off guard. I hope you're feeling better about the whole thing, and rediscovering your love for what you've created! Don't let toxic fandom behavior ruin your passion. Hope you're well! :)

Dear Ashley H I got around to watching this at last after seeing you video about status of the channel and this series. Why I can understand and see the criticisms of this episode and perhaps how it was ended. I saw this as set up episode and I had alot of fun watch this. I enjoyed how deep you got with the bottle up feeling of alot of characters that simplely do not get to used this way on the show canon. The solidarity that flurry was shown by Galaxy was heartwarming. What you did with discord was refreshing and I felt you used him very well to release some feelings and see a side of him that we don't get to see too much. The backstory you came up with Luna and Celestia and their parents was interesting. And you tied in with the plot and I enjoyed that. I enjoyed the music. I just had fun! Yeah fan animations and projects are always going to be the best. But I support you and I'll gladly wait until you're ready to make the next episode. Thank you for your hard work on this. I understand. The amount of work I put into helping the brony musician community and horse music herald. I truly understand what goes into the process of creating something. I just... I had just had some kind of scenario in my head: When we go to that animated Remembrance we see that Twilight brings back her friends. And since this is based on it, I think Twilight will use that spell. But what if, after she used the spell and brought her friends back, they all go and enjoy the next years with their loved ones and best friends. I imagine Fluttershy going to See Discord, but being unable to find him. The last time someone saw him, was Galaxie at Fluttershys stair. So what if Discord couldn‘t handle being without Futtershy anymore, especially after that Journal, so he somehow found a way to destroy himself and go to that... afterlife, where he hoped to find her. But she wasn‘t there. And now he has to wait another Pony-lifetime to see her again. But when she and her friends arrive, the loneliness has driven him completely mad. It would take forever to bring him back. I sometimes hate me for being able to imagine those things in my had. Help

This truly rekindled my love for the MLP fandom, truly thank you! Last year in April I was a senior in highschool and got so caught up in life and other crazy stuff. I have my notifications on for your channel when the finale episode remembrance comes out. This episode made me absolutely sob but also strangely gave me comfort thank you truly.

Wow, I didn’t realize how long this comment had gotten. Ashley, if you’re reading this, it’s not about how long this episode took or anything like that. It’s just a bunch of text about how wonderfully outstanding this episode was! Your dedication to this project is admirable. The fact that you pushed though everything that happened and went through all of that writing, directing, and all of that editing is truly astonishing. After the premiere, I sat for 10 minutes just thinking about how wonderful this episode was, and even teared up at how amazing of a viewing experience I had. And 50 minutes? Wow! The feels in this episode were just next-level as well. How Do I and Her Name were just beautiful, and I sung along to Just Not Today the entire song. I already had it all memorized heh! The shipping fuel was too much for me to handle! And oh my gosh, I loved I Am The Queen, it is such a bop. I could listen to that on repeat for hours. The writing in this episode is just wow. You always know how to trigger my emotions. The scene right before Just Not Today was so well written. That dialogue exchange alone made me cry. And I for one think that the backstory with Tia and Luna’s parents was such a good choice. The fact that their parents were the ones that used the Resurrection Spell makes so much sense. Speaking of sense, sometimes I get confused about what’s going on in an audio drama. Not here! Everything was so well written that I could show this to one of my friends and given a little backstory about the audio drama, they could follow along without me pausing and explaining everything. That is how good this writing is. Don’t even get me started with the whole “Discord sad boi times” thing. I was trying to stay strong throughout the song but when Discord got to Fluttershy’s journal I couldn’t hold my tears. The parts with Nightmare Star were excellent as well! I know I may seem a bit flat in a way with using different vocabulary words to describe this, but I am trying my best to really explain how I feel about this! I’m sure that you know that this is amazing and I’m not trying to make it seem like it needs to be forced upon you. I’m saying all of this because this episode is so wonderful. To wrap this ridiculously long comment up, I just want to thank Ashley, if she’s reading this. You are what keeps this fandom alive. I was feeling pretty down with everything going on at the moment, but this episode lifted me right up. Thank you for pouring your time and heart into Remembrance. Such a project like this will always be left in my memory. :>

It's so good! I cried and then the last song sang was too catchy, I can't believe I'm a week late! It's deffinetly great in this difficult time, I am proud of you to have kept going despite the computer damage, (I know that all well due to my laptop deleting an essay I spent ages on, and it's very frustrating) the voices were amazing, the art was amazing, the editing was amazing. Personally I think it couldn't have come at a better time, sadly a lot of people are struggling with grief right now. This is like a god send. I mean you don't gain any money for this, this is a free thing on KZbin. And despite some snarky remarks and terrible technology, you still keep going along with the rest of the team. You have really come far!
