Great remembrance Sunday shave Paul, well said we will be watching the service on tv as well. I've always been a daily shaver and while I do a three pass shave you can imagine my razors are usually no more aggressive than a Edwin Jagger, have a great Sunday.....All the best Mark.

Thanks for this Paul. Showing respect for the military fallen is very commendable. Nice shave and products used. I don't have a "Rocket", but a 1940's "Super Speed", a very similar razor and maybe the same only a USA version, nice shaver for sure. Beautiful Roses for your Remembrance Day, thanks Mrs H. Thank you for your Remembrance Sunday shave Paul! Gillette razor loaded with a Gillette blade; a perfect pairing. The Nacet blades are wonderful. I gone through a few packs of them and only once have gotten a "bad" blade. That particular blade cut, but it was rather dull...no keen edge. I believe the Rockets are similar to the Super-Speeds. If memory serves, the Rockets are about 4.5 g heavier in weight and deliver a "better" shave. The Rocket HD weighs in at a whopping 70 g and I am told a very fine shaver indeed. Your tips on daily shaving are spot on. A working man's shave doesn't need to be BBS unless their under close scrutiny in the public eyes and their image reflects badly an employer. SAS can be achieved as you elucidate. Gillette's motto: Look sharp, feel sharp, be sharp...there is some truth in that. As you were speaking about unfamiliar town cemeteries, there was a reflection of light or an orb...time 21:12. Maybe you are not alone. Thanks again for your tribute. Take care.

Nice one Paul, that looked a top notch shave :) After shaving every day for a year now, I think you're right, it's all about finding what's comfortable, and not pushing it any further. For me that's 3 passes with a shavette and stopping, and definitely not trying for a bbs shave. Strangely I couldn't do it with a DE, I don't think I could ever visualise the angle quite as easily, and as you know, you just have to be gentle. Great respect shown to those who have served or serve now.

Well done you two; flowers, music, and comments very respectful! Great shave too! I've been watching the BBC series on WWI and the Ken Burns series on PBS on the Vietnam War, and I think Liam Clancy's "And the Band Played Waltzing Matilda" sums it up best. I'm glad we have rememberence day(good video) because it makes us think a little about the consequences of what life is about. Great Britain has seen its share of war and so have the rest of the world(Good Remembrance theme for the Sunday shave). I really like the Nacet blade also, its a sharp and reasonable smooth blade and it has some longevity to boot! I do a 2 pass with a clean up because I shave almost every day. Very nice video,Thanks.

I suspect you're right about the Canadians in the local cemetery. Years back I was in Nova Scotia and visited one of the cemeteries there where victims of the Titanic sinking are buried. There's around 150 victims between three different cemeteries there, as their bodies were retrieved by Canadian cable ships sailing from Halifax. These people would be from a variety of different countries but Canada would up being their resting place. As always, a terrific video.

I have two things to remember this weekend: Veterans/Armistice/Remembrence Day (one hundredth anniversary next year!), and the fiftieth anniversary of my father's death. It's very silly, but this weekend I'm using razors that allow me to reflect on each day: a ball handle Gillette Old, which the American Doughboys took with them to France (the contract for which reportedly totaly made the Gilette company), and razors that either have a Gillette date code corresponding to my father's passing, or a razor identical to one that he owned. Again, silly gestures, but I'm continually surprised by how small things like this can focus one's thoughts on the meaning of these dates. It particularly underscores for me the void left when my father passed, and that, up through the 1930s, the commerated war that the Tommies, Doughboys, and so many others fought in, was called "The World War," no Roman numeral. Best wishes.

I'm not of a daily shaver though, I only shave once every week usually with a two pass shave which is first WTG and second ATG. In the future, I might experiment with the XTG pass. My skin is average, but I have thick coarse Hispanic hair which can sometimes be a problem. However, my skin isn't sensitive, so that's good. I'm not sure if my skin can deal with daily shaving, but in a few years, it's gonna be a norm. I know a lot about wars as I know a lot about history and you can thank me for knowing a lot about it

🇬🇧💈🇬🇧💈🇬🇧💈🇬🇧 "Remembrance" Sunday Shave Yes a day to remember all who sacrificed and are still today for freedom! Would be a nice day for a walk in the Gwyniau and a cup of tea amidst the creatures of the forest and the sound of the Brook slowly slipping by while watching the gentle rhythmic swaying of the woodland canopy against a Welsh Autumn sky! So like this shave here today the beared is cut and passes away! So to their lives may have been cut and/or passed away!
