I had an XPR in .270 Winchester that had a cerakote finish with a Strata Camo patterned stock.I gifted it to my younger brother to get him going on his hunting journey. It shot MOA with most anything i put thru it. I shot my last 2 whitetail bucks with it and it performed flawlessly. I thought the trigger broke exceptionally well for a budget rifle. Love the 60 degree throw 3 lug bolt. Good rifle for the money .

I have a xpr and a couple of remington 700 BDLs. My old 7mm rem mag 700BDL is seemingly more of a serious hunting or go to war sniper rifle. It has quite a presence about it. I would also consider going with the ADL over the XPR due to the 700 platform. With that said, I would definitely consider buying the XPR. They are cool. I would recommend you hold these guns in your hand at a gun store before trying to order something online or take the internet's opinions of them I have been a hunter for 35 years but I still wouldn't take my word for it. Go to a real gun store and hold'em in your hand. You must hold em. Also, hold some good old used rifles that have some honest handling marks on them at a highly reputable store. Don't make a hasty decision but take your time.

i fully agree, yes you can take good info from reviews like this but i still tell people to go and feel one in your hands before you buy it. its the same as someone telling you to go buy one, whats good for one person is not always good for another. i do still like the old guns, i have a remington 1100 shotgun for 1964, love that shotgun. and you know what it still knocks down birds good. thanks for the comment and please dont forget to subscribe today!!! thanks again!!! peace

With rifles in the $500 range, the problem is inconsistent quality which cause inconsistent accuracy from rifle to rifle. You might get a good one or a bad one, or one who shoots OK for hunting. If you send it back to the factory with bad accuracy, there is no guarantee they will fix it. They might send it back and tell you it shoots within acceptable standards or they may fix it. Or you may have to fix it yourself by getting a better stock, re-crowning, trigger work, etc. Or sell or trade it. I have gone through many such used rifles and there are usually good reasons why they were sold. Occasionally I found a gem who shoots very accurately so I kept those. Savage and Ruger have good customer service and have fixed a few inaccurate rifles to the point where they shoot OK, not great, but reasonable for hunting purposes. You get what you pay for and take your chances with low cost rifles.
@UltimateArmsАй бұрын
yes you do. i look at these as would i use them for hunting, and in most cases i would ,but some i just trade them off, because they are so bad. thanks for the great comment. and please dont foget to subscribe!

Since Remington sold junk rifles to Customers , it’s principal NOT to buy their junk. Browning - Winchester is excellent!

Remmy 700 Fan Boy here…..I agree! I’ve got 4 Remmy rifles and one Bergara B14 since I was tiring of the 700 goofiness/cerebrus organization silliness! My rifle ADD/ADHD has me swapping barrels and stocks and chassis systems around frequently, and that part of the reason I put up with Remmy 700 variations! Buy what works for all of you out there! Peace Be The Journey!

Freedom group bought a A bunch of different arms company and write them all into the ground the new company is trying to bring back the old quality that room she used to have before you bash and all these new Remington’s
@PassivePortfoliosАй бұрын
With Remington, you basically buy the 700 action, then have to re-barrel it, get a better stock, and maybe trigger work. By the time you are done, it is more cost efficient to buy a Tikka, Howa or CZ.

Can’t beat the Winchester XPR or the Browning AB3 for the money almost clones of each other.. I have a handful of older Remington Adl’s and they’re shooters for sure. But In my opinion, if you’re looking for an unbelievable gun for the money, plain Jane, blued Tikka t3 is incredible. I found one brand new for $800

The RemArns rifles sold in the US, don't come with any warranty at all.
@PassivePortfoliosАй бұрын
I have not sent a rifle back to Remington in many years, even prior to the legal issues and bankruptcy. Without a warranty, sales will suffer. The people I know who bought their low cost models were disappointed with them. Marlin had the X7 series which were a great value for the money and Remington tried to copy them but the quality control was sloppy and the rifles did not shoot well. I have a pre-Remington Marlin XS7 in .243 and it shoots really well.

I have the Browning AB3 and other Brownings and Winchester guns, Rem on the other hand lost my concern when they went Bankrupt, a lot of people over here like Rem and got mad when they folded up, well if Remington listened to people they wouldn't have went under, I'd stick with Winchester

Remington all day. One can modify it all you want with cool stuff. Not the Winchester. It’s not even worth a look imho.🎉🎉😊
@UltimateArmsАй бұрын
maybe so, but for the price out of the box, as a normal hunting rifle. that is the question!!
@phild9813Ай бұрын
Remington 700s are behind the times with too high bolt lift (90 deg) for use with scopes and a lack of locking bolt/3 position safety. If a person insists on a 700, buy a Bergara, which is a quality model 700 copy.
