I’ll never buy a savage again just solely based on the customer service. The fact that if you ever lose a mag or any part for that matter, you’re shit out of luck. Their website is out of everything all the time. I always saw savage with the exception of the 110 and some of the more expensive savages, to just be a cheap throw away rifle. I’ve had several and they run but def not high quality. Remington pretty much makes nothing but trash these days and it’s really sad because the 700 is a legendary rifle. Howa is def the logical choice here. In my opining of course but I’d take a Ruger American over all them any day.

How does.the CVA win out when the Ruger has a smaller overall group size. If you are only going to use 1 box of ammo for this test, then use the same 1 box of ammo for the test. This wasn't a fair test
@UltimateArmsСағат бұрын
Where did u see me shooting or saying I shot 1 kind of amm9s? The cva did have the best group, and they were close for the 7 brands and all were the same for both rifles. The mag, and the st9ck is better. But it 8s very close in the end

I guess if you spend more time comparing your gun features to other folks' guns, you probably "have to upgrade". If you see it as a tool for hunting, either will probably do what you need. You rarely get a 2nd shot if you're a deer hunter.

Great review... since they both come in walnut and synthetic, as you said, itd be better to compare apples to apples with the stock. Browning slightly better overall in my opinion. Much better trigger, i think the average novice shooter would shoot better with the Ab3 due to trigger. AB3 offered in way more calibers ++. Also stevens heavier by over 1/2 pound

I have the same rifle, and maybe it's just me, but I don't find it all that great for packing around in the woods. It's MUCH heavier than any other rifle I own, save for the Winchester 1886, and that one is SUPPOSED to be heavy.
@UltimateArms19 сағат бұрын
its ok, but as a hunting rifle no way just to damn heavy. thanks for the comment!!
@evanwindom19 сағат бұрын
@@UltimateArms You're right, but people aren't aware of the "backup kill" feature. If you run out of ammo, you can always drop it out of a tree stand to kill your deer.

Savages shoot good but had a 110 and got rid of it. Loseness of the savage bolts bind when working the bolt for a follow up shot on an animal. Maybe I’m just used to my model 70s and brownings so I’m spoiled 🤷♂️

Something I noticed about when you shoot, and most people do this. With budget rifles, if you mount a bipod that far forward, you have to hope that the stock is good on the rifle, or it could effect your groups. Now I noticed this on my Savage 334 because the stock is crap, and it has a lot of flex. Have you compared shooting guns with the bipod off, or using a tripod mounted closer to the action. I am just curious about this? It probably depends on the gun such as my cheap Savage. Would you ever test this, or have you already?

@UltimateArms No it's an earlier year I believe, it early 60's and pristine like it's never been fired, no wear maks under the forend or anything it does have a white diamond in the bottom of the grip but a lot did I think, and these earlier ones the scroll engravings aren't as busy and filled in, and are a bit different pattern like goes All the way back to under the smaller channel for the charging handle, and also on the bolt itself there's more pattern towards the front of the bolt over the top of the charging handle as well and it has MOD for choke on the barrel but it has a Polly Choke installed which I'm OK with!

You don't get the floorplate on the Remington 700 ADL because you needed to step up to the BDL to get that when Remington was still Remington.

Not a huge fan of the A-Bolts, but having more than a few in the family and hunting parties over the last 2ish decades…. I can say they are robust reliable rifles. One SS model did have a wicked sticky bolt, pain to cycle, took years to slicken up.

The bolt does smooth out if you knock a little of the cerakote down with 800 grit then a 1000 grit sandpaper but you’ll still have that step going into the bolt face due to the design. It’s a negligible thing though considering I got it for $300 out the door

The 1100 has a polly choke on it and even the bolt is engraved, I just don't like only 3 shots, all my Remington 870's have always held more, but we've never had a Semi Auto shotgun before...REMINGTON #1 ALWAYS!

I'm very interested in buying one. I want to put a CZ 457 barrelled action on it but my barrell is a 1.10 inch straight contour. I want to be sure it will fit. Wooks said the channel will have enough room, but the website says only a .97 barrell will fit with the CZ. What does yours measure?
@UltimateArms6 күн бұрын
mine was a full ibi barrel .92 now it is free floated up to about 6 inches from the action then it started to touch some. but from what i seen when i was shooting it, it didnt bother group size or vibration in the barrel. because it was touching before the fluting. if your worried about that i would suggest the ultra version !! it will fit better. if you do buy one, dont forget to use the discount code in my discription and save yourself some money. hope that answers your question, and if you dont mind dont forget to subscribe today!! thanks again and good luck!!

@UltimateArms Thanks! I'd like the Ultra, but their website says it's for the Remington 700 or Bergara actions only. I'm hoping they changed to accept CZ457 but didn't change the website yet. I'm waiting for or an answer from them. I'll be sure to use your code if I can get the stock.

Nice to see a product that has been thoroughly developed and tested, as opposed to ‘coming straight off the drawing board’ into the hands of shameless sycophants, posing as firearm testers!
