Not impossible I used to shoot a parker Hale 308 at 900 yards at Bisley on the Stikledown range there with open sights at a circular target !

gotta try make friends with someone who has a farm / ranch ideally. or try PRS style competitions, they usually have stages that are far out, maybe after the match, you can mess around - just ask for permission.

hi! in this vid I was using my fixed 16X power SWFA. It was nice for long range stuff, but struggled to hunt with it. I have since then gotten the 3-15x and MUCH happier.

Hi Shaun, I just bought a bunch of 167gr Scenars to use in my Howa 20" .308 but after a bit more reading it seems the 175grs are supposedly better for longer range stuff. It seems however that you aren't struggling with them😂 Have you perhaps tried the 175s? I assume your twist rate is also 1 in 10?

hi Stuart, my twist rate on this rifle was 1:12. The berger twist rate calculator is a super cool tool to determine stability. I didnt try 175s but I did try every thing from 120gr to 167gr and the scenars (167) were best for me.

@@stuartwatson100 yeah the muzzle velocity on my 20" barrel with 167s was around 2550 fps - bit on the slow side! but safely within pressure ranges. I didnt want to mess around too much. I recall going up a little bit, but lost accuracy, so I took accuracy over velocity :)

Remember that in Europe suppressors are just a polite gun muffler. Only in the US are they considered sinister. If it wasn't for politics they would likely be required like a muffler on your lawn mower
