Sweet review! Really helpful! I went on to buy but looks like the price went up. I’ve been watching it though and the price keeps fluctuating. In my experience, Amazon prices sometime drop mid-week when demand slows, so I’ll check back then. Great job! Keep the reviews coming! 🤙🏻

Thanks so much! I've been checking in on the Amazon pricing as well and have been seeing the same thing. When I first went on and purchased the Remington F5-5800, it was a Sunday and was listed for $40+. When I checked back in a few days later on a Wednesday, it was down to $19.16. At this very moment, it's priced at $38.49. I definitely think you just need to keep an eye on the item and the price will come down again. When it does, make sure you jump on it. I appreciate the support. Thanks for watching!

My razor has almost three years, and still working just fine. The blades still doing a great job. I really recommend it!

I wish I watched your review before I bought F5-5800 early this year from Amazon. It is so loud and shaves much worse than my 15 year old Panasonic ES-RW30. I could not return the F5-5800 on time. So now I am shopping for a new shaver. Just watched your video on Panasonic Arc5 vs Braun Series 9, and will buy Panasonic though I could buy Braun 9 from Costco (which you can return any time, even after a few years if it fails). My old ES-RW30 still works (never replace blade and foil in past 15 years). Hope the new Arc 5 will do the same😀

Very nice shaver. My son bought me one and I liked it so much I got one for my brother. I think they are $59 now but we'll worth it

Good honest review. That ""precision trimmer" looks terrible and is a deal breaker for me. The old pop-up style one they used to have was vastly superior.
@GroomReviews5 жыл бұрын
Hi, Grim177. Thank you for the positive feedback and support of the channel. I greatly appreciate it. I agree, the precision trimmer is quite an annoyance the way it just folds down on itself. They definitely could have done a better job. Thanks for watching and being a member of the GroomReviews community! All the best!

Thank you for this detailed review. I really enjoyed watching it. Do you believe it can give a closer shave than Braun Series 3 310s? I own Braun and curious to know if this one is better. Once again thanks for this wonderful review.

Hi, Kedar. You are most welcome! Thank you for the positive feedback. Funny you should mention the Braun Series 3 vs this Remington F5-5800. I just happened to make a review a few weeks back of this head-to-head comparison seen here: kzbin.info/www/bejne/nISyaYSJiLljeZY . I think this will be most useful to you. The model I use in the video is the Braun Series 3 ProSkin 3040s, but this model is very similar to the 310s. Have a look and let me know if this helps! Thanks again for the support and being a member of the GroomReviews community. All the best!

Thanks for the video, do you think this shaver will help with preventing razor burn ?
@GroomReviews6 жыл бұрын
You are welcome! To your question, I definitely think that there will be a clear improvement in the quality of the shave from using a razor blade, but razor burn can still present itself. Depending on whether you have overly sensitivity skin will play a big factor. Also, the way the product is used will affect the chances of razor burn. For example, if you have to pass over stubborn areas multiple times and press in with added force, this could entice irritation. In the video, I pull my skin tight under neck and jaw line and go over it several times where the hair can be difficult to cut. This area for some people, can cause irritation, while for others nothing affects them. That said, I feel your question is very personal to the individual. Something you may want to look into are pre-shave and post-shave lotions for use with electric shavers that add another line of defense against razor burn. Overall, if you've never used a foil shaver, I definitely recommend testing one out. For the relatively small cost, its worth it to see if you experience an increase in the quality, comfort, and feel of your shave. Hope this helps. Thanks for watching!

GroomReviews Thank You, I’ve used foil shavers before usually they provide great results. The rotary shavers however still cause irritation. I’m just searching & learning to see which foil shaver I want to purchase next.

Thanks for the review! I've only ever owned circular rotary model shavers, and am trying to decide on whether or not this would be a good long term investment.
@GroomReviews6 жыл бұрын
You're welcome! As you've only ever owned a circular rotary model shaver, I think it's good to step outside your comfort zone and try a different type of grooming product. Whether it's this Remington F5-5800 or something like a Philips Norelco Multigroom or even a Gillette razor, it's good to take your time and find a product that peaks your interest and that you can get at a reasonable price. As I mention in the video, this product was listed on Amazon at under $20 and is now hovering around $38. I would keep watching and see if the price comes down, but for a foil shaver, it's still in a descent price range to test out. It will always come down to ones personal preference of what they prefer in their grooming routine, but trying and testing will help you determine if this is a long term product for you. Hope this helps. Good Luck!

Thanks for the review. How can this shaver be cleaned on the inside - Not just running it under water, but getting rid of all the hair that accumulates inside the shaver head.
@GroomReviews6 жыл бұрын
Hi, Yehuda. If you look at 3:00, you will see how the shaver head lifts up and off for cleaning inside. Hope this helps. Thanks for watching!

Thanks. That does help. Though it seems that you are not completely impressed with the shaver overall.
@GroomReviews6 жыл бұрын
Hi, Yehuda. At the price of $19.16 that this item was selling on Amazon at the time, this was a deal that you couldn't pass up. However, since that time, the price has gone back up to around $40. At this price point, an all-in-one trimmer like the Philips Norelco Multigroom 7000 (review seen here: kzbin.info/www/bejne/m3fRYYafZqegr8U ) is a much better option, which will only run you roughly $10 more (amzn.to/2EMSKW5). That said, if you don't have a beard you are trying to maintain or need a bag of attachments and are just planning on using this as an everyday stubble shaver, this is still a good fit. Many foil shavers will run you into the hundreds of dollars for comparable results, so in that sense, this is very affordable. It left a very smooth shave on my face after multiple passes. Besides some battery issues with the unit, my only other gripe is that it's a bit clunky. Working with my goatee it was a little difficult getting into tight spaces. But if you don't have longer facial hair to contend with, this is a product you might want to try out. Again, hope this helps. Thanks for watching!

Remington kicked themselves so hard. They're old model had a slide up trimmer, which was faaaaar superior than the junky folding one. I personally think the trimmer thing between the foil shavers is stupid too.

Hello, thanks for the review! I was just wondering if this is safe to use with shaving cream, thank you
@GroomReviews5 жыл бұрын
Hi, whatsacommentary. You are most welcome! To your question, the Remington F5-5800 is made for a dry shave. If you are looking for a product similar to the Remington F5-5800 that you can use wet or dry, you may want to check out the Braun Series 3 Proskin 3040s. I just happened to make a review a few weeks back of a head-to-head comparison between this Braun model and the Remington F5-5800 seen here: kzbin.info/www/bejne/nISyaYSJiLljeZY . Can it be use for head haircut
@GroomReviews6 жыл бұрын
Hi, Pari. Thank you for your question. According to Remington, the F5-5800 shaver, including the trimmer, are for use on facial hair only. They should not be used for shaving the hair on your head or any other part of your body. Hope this helps. Thanks for being part of the GroomReviews community!
