Remission in lymphoma

Great video thank you ...this has given me alot more information to help me through my treatment NHL large B Cell....I have one chemotherapy cycle left in a week's time . I am having my treatment in Spain...seemed to be straight forward but had to do my own research....the journey here I like it as I have just broken a limb 😂🙏, but cannot complain for the over all treatment..to be honest I prefer the straight forwardness with no fluffing around me .

My wife was diagnosed with very low grade follicular lymphoma (FL) in 2017. She started experiencing pressure in her abdomen, mild night sweats and fatigue about a year ago. About a month ago she experienced a single night of extremely intense sweating suggesting to me that a major anti-tumor response had been triggered with the release of cytokines from her FL cells. Her mild sweats, pressure in her abdomen and fatigue completely disappeared after this episode of sweating. I believe she has experienced a spontaneous complete remission without any treatment. She inquired if she could get a PET scan to see if her lymphoma is truly in remission, but her medical insurance denied it. To say that we are upset is a gross understatement.

We imagine it is likely to have been a difficult and worrying time for you both and the emotions you talk about with the decision of your wife's insurance company seem understandable.
