Hey, Sleepyheads! Woke up to an article this morning in which Halsey expresses that though they use both she & they pronouns, the inclusion of they/them is important to them. (Some people refer to this usage preference as ‘rolling pronouns.’) I was unaware of this and defaulted to she/her pronouns for my entire story about her, believing they were her preferred pronouns (as some people do not want their pronouns used interchangeably/in all contexts). I apologize for my mistake! I’ll be sure to use all their pronouns moving forward. ♥️ And FYI, griping/being disrespectful about people’s pronouns & gender identities is a fast way to get blocked from this channel.

Hello! I have recently found your channel and I feel like you are constantly using such a wide range of vocabulary! As someone who is still relatively young I am just curious as to if you have any tips of growing vocabulary/grammar skill? Thank you so much!
@RemmeASMR3 жыл бұрын
Thanks so much, Izzy! And welcome to my channel! So happy to have you here. In the long term, reading books & watching movies that are known/celebrated for their word choice can be helpful-and in the latter case, I like to watch everything with closed captioning! I find it super helpful being exposed to new words (or reminded of seldom-used ones) as they are simultaneously said aloud and written out-and with the added benefit of a rich context. (Much better than the average example sentences you’ll find online.) In the shorter term, vocabulary builder and ‘word a day’ books & apps are super useful! But IMO, when going this route it’s important to use the new words in real life applications as soon and as much as possible, or I only retain them for a day or so. That’s why I find learning them through books & films so helpful-the less theoretical/more memorable my first encounter with a word, the better my retention! I hope this helps! 💗

I am so not surprised about your story about Ellen degenerous. I’ve heard soo many stories of her being rude/unkind. Even in some interviews, where you would think she would be polite and nice to people, she’s not. I was so upset after watching her interviewing Macaulay culkin, she was awful to him. :-(

I know, it’s really too bad. I have to imagine people who act like that must be very unhappy deep down. Love Macaulay so much, though-happy for him & his growing family! 🥲

Man it’s weird to me to have seen so many celebrities, if any at all. I’m from Iowa so I’m just used to thinking it’s cool when I’m in the same state as a celebrity I like.

Haha it is pretty weird! Idk if I’ll ever get used to it, no matter how long I’m in LA-especially bc each case is different. I may not have much of an emotional response to one celebrity, but another will have me freaking out!

I should rewatch it! Anyway, I loved these. I'll watch for the next part but don't feel rushed! :)
