Here is the latest Remnant fly, first published on Locals on July 7, 2023. This one is #16 and a Caddis type of fly.
This remnant fly started out with the curved caddis hook which sent me down the path of some sort of caddis nymph. After finding the bright orange bead I decided to tie some sort of bright attractor pattern and the rest followed. I like the Chartreuse Ostrich herl but looking back I am thinking it might have been better with a Black herl instead; more contrast. I know it will catch some panfish but it will be interesting the next time I am out trout fishing to bounce this around and see if I can get a trout to commit. - - Enjoy
As I continue the Remnant fly series I will have a #12 fly out in a couple weeks and it and all future Remnant flies will be only on Locals for those who support the community. After a year (or so) of being on the Guild community I will then publish them to everyone on KZbin. Exclusive content is one small way to thank those who support the Dressed Irons Guild Community.
