Whether we wanted it or not, we've stepped into a war with the Cabal on Mars. So let's get to taking out their command, one by one. Valus Ta'aurc. From what I can gather, he commands the Siege Dancers from an Imperial Land Tank just outside of Rubicon. He's well protected, but with the right team, we can punch through those defenses, take this beast out, and break their grip on Freehold.

As an aside: it's funny that me, yourself, and other players instinctively knew something was up with the Rubicon Wastes door. What would that other journey have been? What would the "all this is playable space" iteration of Destiny been like-- flyable ships? A real-in-game-time day / night cycle? 13:40 if you want to extend the mystery further, there are certain bits of lore within destiny 1 gear (usually cloaks) that give hints back to the old story. In the first destiny 1 mars reveal trailer theres a voice at the end that we never find out who is actually talking. It is likely Elsie, which hints at cut content of Elsie and Clovis Bray being a bigger d1 story point, but also sounds like Micah-10. Great video! I do love seeing unused stuff from this franchise, its super interesting, and one of my guilty pleasures (sunken ketch my beloved). Heres a couple other notes i thought about while I was watching: Mars Lost Oasis and IO Lost Oasis, are essantially the same geo wise. For IO they did some set dressing, model replacing, added inside areas for missions and lost sectors, and jumbed around a couple things (pyramidion was moved a bit), but the outside is near 1:1, it barely changed. The biggest change of course, was the pyramidion, which was a huge downgrade tbh. Some of the unused entrance was reused as the drop down for the Brakion arena, and that area with the triangle platfrom still ended up in the D2 pyramidion somewhere in the distance iirc. Either version of the pyramidion might of also been home to the scrapped vex raid they never made. What you didn't show in the video is charlemagne's vault, which does mostly exist, although it is essentialy the same as the vault in the cosmodrome (the one accessed in the forgotten shore).

With the rubicon wastes door at 5:50 ish, you can sword and garry fly so so far out towards the distance, I was going for about 5 or so minutes before I ran out of ammo, I was honestly expecting some form of a galaxy pools loadzone out there somewhere but I assume the loads and area are fully deleted from the game but hey maybe it’s just out there somewhere👀. Some of the tunnels in the ironline oob that are floating and are blocked off would’ve connected to a loadzone called SHIELD or something that would’ve then gone on to connect to one of the cut load zones

@@Solus-yt there are a few of them yes, if you do the wallbreach emote you can have a look, from the overview blender file screenshot I’ve got you can see these cut tunnels from above the lost oasis area and the pyramidion. I breached through a random tunnel to get to the remaining ones but maybe if you kinda look from above in blender then find which tunnel originally led to these cut zones maybe there is a load we can hit? the tunnels I found go nowhere but were obviously used for something as they remain out of bounds! They go 3 ways and there are two of them strangely you can pass through the left and right on each side iirc fine and just fall into the abyss but the others have a hard wall/death barrier I really need to hop on and do the no boundaries glitch and see if theres anything I can find. This could really be a galaxy pools situation regarding the rubicon door as I was able to sword fly for so far instead of dropping in behind the wastes door maybe somethings out there! God what I’d do to get my hands on a build with all of this included (if there even is one) I spoke to kellestial quite a while ago now and I think he was looking in some different areas using different oob tools etc but I don’t think it led to anything. @@Solus-yt possibly but I’m not sure, if we have the same blender image I could see from the videos you had a lot more than me I just had a base uncoloured screenshot from above that showed all the locations and tunnels. Another area that peaked my interest was legions keep. There’s that weird red structure in the corner that I could not get into for the life of me, and behind that fence the area looks promising and cool to explore and if I’m right it kinda lines up with an area behind the wastes but don’t hold me on that, I kinda theorised that the big tunnel where that huge drilling machine kinda thing was led somewhere but was blocked off with the drilling machine thing, always seemed a bit weird that it was there to me but could be nothing. And maybe legions keep also connected to that area, but hey just a theory and if you know the red structure/tunnel thing (if it’s even red) I’m talking about in the corner maybe it’s worth seeing if you can get inside. It’s weird if you look past the fence in keep too you can see a door/passage that comes out from the ground and looks like it’s connected to that tunnel/structure too in the corner. IIRC keep was only used for that vex structure thing infront of the tunnel I’m talking about seems to me originally there would’ve been a lot more and a much bigger area

@Solus_Destiny Titan! I always thought the arcology would've been the one thing they would try to bring back as a patrol zone in season deep like derelict leviathan for season haunted, but I guess not. still, some of the most serene areas imo

They really need to unsunset some of these planets.
@antonprokhorov87693 ай бұрын
lorewise this area supposed to be a remnants of "first place traveler (light) touched" - so, since the traveler makes unhabitable planets, uhh, habitable, this mars forest was a really special and sacred place, it's even called "the lost oasis" to underline that meaning so, Bungie just decided to put it on Io and swapped the "first" with "last" (... place traveler touched") completely devaluating it's original tone and value for the game this way IMO, it was a huge creative misdirection from them, this area should have stayed on Mars

Don’t wanna be negative but unfortunately can’t see it happening, for some reason new bungie seem to avoid talking about anything to do with pre release state and story of destiny:/ I’d love for them to just come out with it all, and they must have some of the old builds locked away deep in the bungie headquarters (I cope I cope) all of this stuff and what could of beens fascinates me more than the actual game at this point

Do you think we’ll ever know the truth of the original story, from a year before D1 release?
@Solus-yt2 ай бұрын
@@firedragon04 as much as I wish, probably not as long as NDA’s exist. The only way I could see them talking about it, is if they stopped supporting destiny and moved on to another project. That way, no future content, no possibility of NDA breakage. It must be pretty bad, because we’ve spoken to a few Devs who worked on areas like this, areas that rhyme with “Shmalaxy Shmools” and even they insisted the NDA’s were no joke.

@@Solus-yt I remember so much hype and then drama around the original story back when D1 came out. Stuff about the dreadnaught and such. I agree though that it’s probably not going to happen, or if it doesn’t not going to be for a long long time. I can see if there’s ever a bad data breach at Bungie a lot of those early cinematics and plans leaking (kind of whats happening with Gamefreak right now and Pokemon) but I wouldn’t wish that to happen to any developer tbh… as much as the leak might be interesting. I do hope that as time goes on the walls come down about that early Destiny story because I’m intrigued to hear and see how much got reused and retooled into future stories including stuff as recent as the final shape. I also know Joe would never talk on it but if he ever wrote a memoire or something and went into detail about his time at Bungie on Halo and Destiny, I would eat that up!

Dude this video is awesome. What other maps are found in the files?

@@nitothefunkybunch6938 from what I know, just this in d1. D2 however has a ton of unused maps, named “missing string”

@@Solus-yt ah thats a shame, but it would make sense for them to reuse as many old maps as possible for the dlc
