Hey, if you look at your analytics, how do you say somebody’s been binge watching your channel for the last few days that’s me. I am from landlocked Alberta, Canada, and from a very large city, and I’ve never been to Vancouver Island, no matter to the wilds of Alaska. Your contact is creative. Your work ethic is outstanding and you deserve a whole lot more subscribers. 🎉

my neighbor was complaining of the wood not giving off much heat and what we found that the tarps completely covering the pile was not allowing the wood to dry and kept the moisture in because of lack of air flow so than he started just covering the top and after a month he said it made a big difference. That was last winter. just a thought. love your channel

ya When I was a younger man I used to go up into the summer and get wood for 3 households and they each needed 8 cords or more and so I had a story pole that 4 feet long and two of them made 8-foot logs and we pulled them after dropping the tree and load them into pickups and trailers and take them home then unload the trailers and pickups and i had log buck and put the logs in by hand if I could, but some of the wood was hug so could lift them but buck into blocks and then split it by hand so i know a lot about getting fire wood lol

Hello from TN. Watching you cut wood made my back ache. I heated with wood for 20 years. Please start now taking care of your back. The device you use to pick up logs is great as is sitting while splitting. When I saw you cutting pieces from a log while it was on the ground reminded me of the one thing I wish I had done differently. I should have gotten a grapple for my tractor. Toward the end of my wood cutting years I did use one some. Bending over and bearing the weight of the saw sends the stress right to your lower back. No matter how careful I was I would sometimes nick the ground and there goes my nice freshly sharpened blade. It is so nice to be able to lean in to make a cut while the log is suspended waist high rather than on the ground. Love your show. Will do our best to live free.

Old car hood as a skidder for logs and about 8 ibc totes and cut front open w sawzall like Hometown acres and will go from splitter to stove the way you could get up close to door by vid. Rather than spend money on those tarps , build a cover for the wood, with slats on the sides that does allow air flow and at the same time protection from the rain and snow.

Every time I watch you stack wood from the pallet to the bucket then to another pallet I keep thinking, "Man, I need to get him a pair of pallet forks for the tractor!" Then you could stack the stuff on the pallets once, and move the wood a pallet at a time onto the deck and be done with it. (Of course its all so easy to give suggestions from this side of the tv, in the comfort of my easy chair... lmao!😂) Another kick ass video! Love your content and your family!! ❤❤ Stay safe, have fun, live free!

Brian, it would be pretty cool if you had a portable conveyer belt that you could use instead of the tractor to move that wood from point A to point B. You could split it, put it on the conveyer belt and have it drop the wood at your porch. You look like you need a second set of hands in moving all of that brush and wood around. Good luck with getting it all cut and stacked. Question: Does your saw leak bar oil? Mine always has a pool of bar oil in the case after I store it.

Why wouldn't you just push the bucket into the wood pile and scoop up at least a couple of loads to save some physical work. Work smarter not harder. Have the bucket beside you to fill yp with split wood . Then hook it onto the tractor when full to carry over to the pidch for stacking. All just suggestions to trg ans help cut doen the multiple handing of the wood. If non of it works, thats cool, sometines people outside the box can see solutins that those in the box can't. Here to help if j can while i enjoy watching your lifestyle. One i was born and raised in and miss but can only live vicariously now days.
