The gear kits are called ORG KITS - and they're pretty awesome. remoteeq.com/org-kit.html

I watched 1/3 of the video already. For now I can say it is not how they are designed to be attached to the bag (not inside the water bottle pocket). Anyway, good to have you back with the new backpack video! ❤️

@@c2rr9on yeah you can attach with the daisy chain - that's not as fast for me

I think the cap comes off so it can function as a rock climbing bag. I would categorize this as an active outdoors pack with EDC capability. I have an Alpha 31 which uses the same harness, can confirm its one of the best fitting packs I've ever used. Hats off to RE.

Agree - the fit is top notch

Granite Gear Blaze was the first backpack I found that explicitly makes the brain/lid an accessory carry. But there are a few (I think) in the hiking space that probably preceded the Muir. No shade, as I have several Trakke products.

270 USD for 100% polyester (as on there website) seems a tough sell. Anyway great review as always, excited to see more backpacks on the channel

Now this isn't an EDC bag but the Fjällräven Kajka hiking backpacks has has a lid you can make a hip pack out of, and has been like this for years :) It can also be attached to the front where the sternum strap is but has separate buckles.

I need to look that one up, they also have a backpack that is a stool that I've always wanted to try

Great review! I own the Charlie 25 and the Org Kits are made to fit in the vertical interior pockets or to the outside of the bag. I’ve been surprised at how much I enjoy using this bag- more for when I am out with my family and especially when we go to the pool. I thought having a cinch top would bother me again, but the design is nice and intuitive. The brain is actually excellent for me in use. Not my favorite for work, but I want to take it pretty much everywhere else.

Saw the org kits on another vlog and had to have them. I’m with you on the pack not quite hitting it for me - amazing pack but not for me. Would love to see ideas for the org kits, how to integrate them with other bags and maybe how you see them comparing to other options.

hadn't considered the waterbottle-pocket potential of bags of that shape-- going to finally get some use out of my black ember tks now

yeah - if you have a vertically oriented tech pouch - it's a great little stash spot without giving away your main compartment.

any more details about the other bag with a removal lid > sling? I've been looking for exactly this for awhile.

Sure! It was a limited edition but you can find them for around $250. You're looking for this bag: www.carryology.com/projects/carry-collaborations/exclusive-release-trakke-x-carryology-the-muir-project/

HIGHLY recommended if you can snag one. Look in the Carryology Classifieds Facebook group. Ebay will cost you too much.

@@ThePerfectBag thanks. Just bad timing, a new version of that bag just dropped like 2 weeks ago, so was pretty hard finding reviews for the old one.

Th EDC pouches they offer are designed to go into the long internal Velcro pockets, not the water bottle pockets.
@ThePerfectBag4 ай бұрын
I think they work in the internal Velcro, attached with PALS on exterior, and in the water bottle pockets. I prefer the easy access of the water bottle pockets.
