Always blown away by these kinda trips. Living somewhere as densely populated as the UK gives vids like this a sort of magical quality. Logistics, time, effort mentally and physically, can see why you made a point awhile back about keeping fit for back country trips. Off the charts fella! 👍💥

Awesome fish and great teamwork between you guys. Cinematic masterpiece. If I may offer constructive feedback, every take here is done with music dubbed in. To be fair maybe this is what the masses want but I sure enjoy the chaos in the moment, raw. I’d say a happy medium could be found? But again maybe I’m an outlier.

I'll watch this multiple times over Xmas, both of you put in and what a reward, the fishing and fish are amazing. Production top notch too! My brother and I will find water like this and try to capture a moment or three. Etched in my mind is that trout around 8 minutes. Its take, the jump and you in the background beautifully balanced, absolutely finessing the rod with no sharp movements. Its skill and harmony with nature. Slow motion just enhances this perfectly. Congrats and enjoy xmas and new year.

Hi Alex, thanks for a great video of your trip, hard going in places but huge rewards. I don’t think that people outside NZ realise how in our summer it can get so cold in the deep valleys and conversely how strong the sun’s rays can get and damage your skin if you are not covered properly. Thanks again for all your attention to detail that makes watching your videos so interesting. Cheers mate. Harera

So much to love about your Vid's. Your attitude, respectful treatment of the fish with their survival paramount. Those fish are beautiful, stunning and well worth the effort put in with your tramping! Those monsters at 18:min & 19 min were epic, sorry for your losses! But your buddy takes them better 🙃 And the building of anticipation for my first trip to NZ is rekindled at each and every one of your video's! I had to cancel my February trip due to isolation requirements (don't want to sit in a hotel for a week watching TV). But I've rescheduled to November 2022. I shall have to make do with Vic & NSW high country until then; oh well it means more casting practice! Peace, Merry Christmas & keep up the great work 👍 P.S. What drone do you work with? I just bought the DJI Air 2S for my trip and love it!

Boy have I missed these video's. Alex I have been so so busy I have not had much time. But I jumped straight into this one. What a treat, Brilliant as always. Did watch in two parts. But with a bit of time off now, I will do a bit of back tracking and watch what I have missed. Take care mate. And merry Xmas to you. Shaun. UK.
