My wife and I went camping 30yrs or so ago and I suddenly started getting mad chest pains when we were sat around the fire. I asked my wife to call an ambulance as I thought I was having a heart attack. She looked at my chest and said "no, one of the embers from the fire has burnt a hole through your t-shirt" 😂

Hi Martha and Mitch, so happy you are both having a great time. Mitch has got lighting fires down pat. He is so funny with his boating exploits,I was laughing along with you Martha . Shame you lost your tripod, but things happen sometimes. As for his coat almost catching fire,I can understand being upset, because it has damaged it. Your utube channel is may favourite. Look after yourselfs, and each other. Keep safe on the trails and roads. Bye for now Tim Melbourne.

Smoking mosquitoes out? Your tent will smell. But if it worked, a fine method and more ecological than spray, too. You do find nice spots for camping. Pity about the vest. Great series, every day I enjoy a new episode to catch up. Happy days, Günter/Nürnberg

Hey, camping gear should have a couple of holes (and patches) from sparks. They should also reek of smoke. And then you can just use them without worry or stress. They are there to function, imaaageee questions are secondary. And congrats, you now own such a garment. And what a story to go with the holes.🔥💧🤠👍

Hi, I've been watching your videos for a while now, and it's been fun to follow your journey here in Finland, where I also live. There are indeed plenty of lakes and varying landscapes here. Personally, I enjoy the nature and scenery of Lapland the most, even though I've only been there twice. The environment is incredibly clean there; for example, in Lapland, you can safely drink natural water almost anywhere as long as it's flowing. Of course, it's at your own risk, but I've often drunk from mountain streams. And in Lapland, you often see reindeer, and at campsites, there are usually Siberian jays, which are very tame birds and will come to eat from your hand, for example, nuts. So enjoy your journey in Finland and take in the nature and scenery.

Really enjoying joining you on this adventure. Keep the videos coming. Just one minor comment, completely understand why you wanted to get rid of the insects. I would want to do the same. However you should never ever put anything smokey in your tent such as burning logs or a BBQ because of the risk of carbon monoxide poisoning.

It is always up and down in nature here. You get a knife in your foot trying to throw knifes at trees at 8 years old or loose a hand building a bomb from the gunpowder of many fireworks to blow up a shed you just found deep in the forest. The next day you land a 12 Kg pike and the train is back on track. The aussies definitely have the same bug. UK is so far from that(worked alot there over the years... so much control :s ) .

About the boat: i am pretty sure the owner have on purpose left that boat unlocked to let anyone lend it. You see the mindset in Nordic countries is sometimes very different from it in other places in the world. About the inside t with the clothes. On my sona 8 years birthday he got a new sweater he had been wanting for a long time. He put it prowdly on at his kids birthday party, when playing in the garden on that party he fell out of a tree and broke his arm. At the hospital they had to cut the sweater open to be able to undress him, and he cried more over that than the arm pain. A few days later i put the sweater behind a glassed frame, it it hang in his bedroom for several years. As a reminder of a good patrty😊
