If they did they would have used a rising rate fuel pressure regulator and they would have used a correct pulley ratio instead of trying to only spend the night at 3000 RPMs with a factory size crank pulley because when that thing only makes 5 lb of boost at 3000 RPMs the engine is spending more than 3,000 RPM so it's trying to consume way more air than that thing is putting out hence the reason why they lost horsepower LOL

you know what would be a better remote supercharger? Try to find a supercharger that has a magnetic clutch like the one on the aw11 4agze. And then connect the clutch to a radio of some sort so someone else can engage the supercharger. Imagine racing in the grand tour game and then your opponent can randomly activate your supercharger. Maybe during corners so it would spin you out with the sudden burst of power

That B&S motor was only running at around 2000-2500 rpm. For that pulley ratio it needs to be spinning at a good 6000 rpm or more to pump enough air through that Vortech SC. Those superchargers really need to spin fast to make boost.

There is so much wrong with this... Using a truck pulley won't magically spin the supercharger fast enough when the Predator motor only revs half as high as the sports cars it's designed for, and that belt looks too loose to transfer 22 horsepower even if it did. Double the size of the primary pulley and add a proper tensioner that increases belt contact area if you want real boost. None of that matters though WHEN YOU SPIN THE SUPERCHARGER THE WRONG WAY.

And i doubt that engine on the front would have enough HP to slip the belt anyways lol Im thinking they got less HP on the dyno because of the clutch/transmission.. It did run a better time. Shouldnt matter what size of piping they use.. That would only really affect lag on a regular turbo because it has to first fill up that area with air as it pressurizes. On this setup the external engine/stupercharger is already at max rpm/pressure as they open the valve, if anything this would act a bit as a reservoir

the stupercharger doesn't increase rpm as engine rpm increases, missing out on a ton of boost. you need to turbo or turdo the motor powering the stupercharger , smaller charge piping, and then spray into said charge pipe.

You needs proper bypass valve and your ball valve/tee on a shorter pipe. Shut the ball valve as you're getting ready to launch, not just when you leave. What's happening now is the engine pulling a vacuum in the charge pipe (which is at atmospheric pressure with the valve open) as soon as the valve is closed, going super-rich just as it gets loaded up and while the blower is working to fill up that huge intake tract.

ABS pipe will expand under pressure. And that length of it is so long that the supercharger doesn’t stand a chance of making any usable boost. Skip the intercooler, pipe directly to the car intake, use a larger driving pulley on the aux motor and you may make some boost.

Looks correct because it's backwards mounted but the engine is still governored which is killing half the RPMs. The supercharger can spin faster if they bypass it slightly it will rev to around 5,000 RPM but they can also add a smaller pulley to the supercharger about half the size that's on it to spin twice the RPMs or a much larger pulley on the engine or both, that with those combined it should spin enough to actually make positive pressure. They also should take away about 10 ft of the piping and maybe run smaller diameter piping like 2.5".

Nice try, maybe a boost cabuse, aka add a trailer. I have some third gen firebirds, that t5 can take 290 lb. ft. Ft of torque, third gen firebirds are real easy to make fast, but you have to establish a bhp number, and build it for that power. I built this 91 formula TT, it will be fast, I’m gonna try to get it out this summer. Great work with firebird, now just get that gt45 eBay turbo, good for 600hp, run 8-10 psi, and you won’t blow it up, but it will be real quick, put a power glide initial. I enjoy watching your show! Keep up the good work!

It makes sence. You have what 5 feet of 5 inch piping? 5 inches/2 is 2.5, so, 2.5^2×3.14×60 is a volume of like 1177 square inches. 5psi isnt gonna do much to that. Thats like a small fan to cool the pentagon.
