This doesn't help any. I have the reolink app and at home I can view it just fine while using the wifi. At work I cannot it says device disconnected. When I get back home and back on the wifi I can see the cameras again. So why isn't it working if all I gotnto do is get the app?

I'm having many cache files in the folder. I want to delete mine but what will It do to my system? Your problem at work is probably your company has blocked certain IP addresses or have set up a fire wall to do that.

Is there a fix? I am not able to access any cameras remotely unless I am using my home wifi. Once I am out of home range and on a 4G or 5G network, the Reolink App doesn't produce images. I can access the settings menu on the app and even make changes in settings, but there is no image from any of the cameras. My cameras are connected to the NVR; the NVR is connected to the wifi router; and the phone app recognizes the cameras, so I'm not sure why I'm having an issue. I have the same problem when I try to use a web browser. Reolink's support articles say to upload the UID of every single camera (maybe for porting?) but neither the app or the NVR provide me with any camera UID. I'm bummed - this means no access to images if I am traveling in another state.

Hi there, thank you for your detailed description of your problem. You can try to send the description and some related screenshots of the camera on the APP to support@reolink.com. There is the UID on the NVR/camera body. You can find according to this article, support.reolink.com/hc/en-us/articles/115004039093-How-to-Find-UID-of-Reolink-Products.

I am experiencing the same issue. It just started a few days ago. Going back and forth on emails with REOLINk customer service is an additional layer of frustration. If you find a solution can you please respond with a fix. I have tried rebooting the NVR and each individual camera as well. The link provided from the company takes you to an article that say it is not available.

@@smig95 after researching this situation I discovered the only way to get access to the cameras 'outside' a home WiFi range is to assign the cameras to ports on your PC. There are several videos on how to do this, but I have yet to try it myself. I have a new issue. When I try to review my cameras in my web browser I get a pop-up notification from some third-party company asking me for my login credentials. It's goofy. Somehow, this pop-up is blocking my router from connecting to Reolink. So now I have no access to my cameras unless I'm viewing them inside my house. This is beyond annoying.

@@CptnKase I have watched a couple of videos that show people how to "port" their cameras, but these videos are uploaded by other security camera companies. I have no idea why Reolink has failed to provide the same content for its users. Seems to me like someone from Reolink should create a video showing people how to set up their systems for true remote viewing.

I can't add the camera to my app using the UID number. It says "Connection Failed" Please make sure your device is powered on and connected to a stable network before retry. The cameras are already set up and running. I'm looking at the feed real time, sitting in the same office with the set up. In the camera software, there is no place to select enable UID.

HI, i have an NVR system and it works fine, and another camera on a different wifi network in a different location, i can only view this camera when i am connected to that wifi network when i would like to view it at the nvr location, is there a fix, please.

Quick question, I have connected cameras/nvr up to router and got a live view after entering the uid and everything works fine. However when I swap to data usage or another wifi say at my friends house I don't get and feed and it can't connect? I want to be able to view it when I'm not home as if it only allows me to view it while I'm connected to home wifi then what is the point?

Hi, for the camera SD card overwrite, it would overwrite the oldest files according to how much space is needed for new recordings. For NVR HDD overwrite, it would delete the 64GB oldest file each time it gets filled up.

I have the RLC-410 5mp cameras. 1 however wont allow me to connect to my mobile data connection. Is there anything i can do? I deleted, rebooted the camera, re set it up, but nothing. Failed to connect to network

I'm having problems viewing my cameras from the app it's like it doesn't want to connect if I'm on cellular network but once I connect my phone to the wifi it works that does not help me at all since I can't connect to my Wi-Fi when I'm away from home

Hello , when i see my nvr via web browser i can see only 1 camera on my screen , if i want see the others i have to choice the other channels. Why ther is no option to use multiscreen also on web browser ?

You can only view on camera via a web browser, if you want to view multiple cameras simultaneously, you can use Reolink App and Reolink Client.

Everything was working great and then out of nowhere one of the cameras stopped sending me push notifications. I have 2 cameras currently running on the system and I'm only getting push motion alerts from one camera, I've tried resetting the NVR and camera, and swapping the cameras and no luck. help!

The quality of the video is not what you see on the screen, the recording is generally of poor quality. Watch live with a computer, there is no quality either. Cameras with maximum quality 4k. The problem is in the codecs that are in the recorder but not in the PC ,I think that the money should be invested in a better quality brand !?

it is disappointing that after so long time you cannot view and control using 3rd party (home assistant) the battery based cameras. And even worst it is written in a way that is hard to see that is not supported.

Pls connect your camera with the UID number. The camera's network and mobile phone network can be different networks.

i have reolink app on my old mobile setup. now i changed my mobile i log into the app but each camera is asking for password which they didn't provide me in first place. how to solve it propbem i have 6 cameras i don't want to do the factory reset. thats mean i have to share again with my family

The password will be set when you set up the camera for the first time. Can you try to remember it? If you forget the camera password, you may need to factory reset the cameras.

How do I recover my Reolink App Admin password, I cannot remember what it is and I've viewed many videos on how to reset the individual password but when ever I try to change or add a new pass it will ALWAYS ask for the Old Pass first, which I do not remember!

I have 4 cameras. Everything working fine for 2 years. Recently we have to change our router password and add a new router. Because of that your support team told me that I have to reset all cameras again in order to get ir with new router/password. Cameras are back and working fine except for the remote access feature and this is a huge must for me. I can see the live feed when I'm on Wifi network, but ass soon as I change to cellular data it doesn't work so now, I cannot watch my house when I'm away. Please help, this should not be happening. Thanks

Can you try to add the camera via UID? Please make sure that you have enabled data access to the APP. You can check in the phone setting. If it can't work, you can contact our support, support.reolink.com/hc/en-us/requests/new.

@@ReolinkCameras Thank you. Already done that. All the basic recommendations has been covered. I need something else. Cameras keeps disconnecting while using their wifi, and remote accesos is just not working but in one camera (of the 4). It just started working after I disable the firewall of the router (and this makes another issue). Buy anyway, just worked for 1 of the 4 cameras. Every camera has the same settings.

@@ReolinkCameras And its worth to mention that, as you know, Reolink Battery-powered cameras could only be accessed via the UID, like Argus 2 and argus pro. So there is no other option to add the camera, anyway

@@ReolinkCameras Hello and thanks! But that's not the problem, adding cameras to the network is easy. The problem is to access them "outside the wifi" AKA remote access. I already contact your support team to help with something different of what it says on your website FAQ which obviously is the first thing I checked and try before contacting.

So often the how-to is barely scratched and only covers if you are actually on your own home Wi-Fi network. Basic settings will not create access when you're away from home. Is Reolink peer-to-peer?

Can you have multiple independent views to a camera accessing by using a QR code? Looking to fit a camera at our golf course so players can view down a slopping fairway before teeing off. Players will only need to access the camera for 2 mins so would they be logged off when viewing screen is shut down? Regards Nigel

If I format the SD card via the app will it temporarily (or permanently?) lose connection with the camera ? The camera is pretty far away from me so I prefer to not have to travel to it manually to start it up again (it’s a 4g model)

My Reolink app will only connect to Wifi not mobile data! Reolink Client was a PITA on my home laptop. Constantly telling me wrong password. Downloading Client to Win10 took about 8 tries. The password issue with Client was resolved by running as admin and then it recognized my password. They tell you running as admin requires no pswd LOL.WTH!!!!!!!!!!! Reolink Argus PT2. The 4k high setting has really impressive resolution. I wasted WAY too much time on initial setup trying to connect to the 5g side of my router. It said nothing about that in the manual??? Peeps do not make the same mistake!!!

@@ReolinkCameras I needed to enable app mobile data permissions. I was able to view camera feed. It wasn't reliable with many failed to connect even with good mobile connections as verified with Network Cell Info Lite. Not sure what the problem is but I did get it to work on the internet with my phone. My buddy has the same camera and doesn't seem to have as much trouble using his Samsung phone. I'm on Moto G Power.

@@ReolinkCameras many people use your cameras for different kind of purpose which make your cameras competitor to trailcams. If you make them real 1080p with 30fps or even higher fps and video quality, option to download raw files remotely from the card, your camera will be competitor to widlife observation cameras as well, which will widen the market and sales. Adding option for live streaming over youtube, facebook or similar will blow other competitors away., and I know it just matter of coding the software. Simple as that.

Please reset assured that we would carefully discuss your request with the R&D team. Some of our non-battery powered cameras do support up to 25/30 fps and live streaming to KZbin. Hello. I'm searching for a little wifi screen, smartphone format for example, with lower electrical consumption, I can fix on a wall inside my house to quickly see whom is at my front door to decide if I'll opened or not. Finding my smartphone, launch the app', connect to the camera takes too much time.

Hi Hervé, if you are using an NVR, then a monitor connected to the NVR may help in this case. Or if you are using cameras only, Google Home/Alexa voice command and display may also help you. Or you may also leave Reolink App/Client running on one tablet/computer so that you can check the live view whenever you need it.

Reolink IP cameras (except Argus Series, Reolink Go Series, Keen, Reolink Lumus, E1, B400, D400, B800, D800) are well compatible with BlueIris. For the Reolink logo, you can turn off the watermark in the display setting.

Hi there, you can use the RLC-823A without the NVR. You can just connect the RLC-823A to our APP. And then you can live view and playback all the video on the SD card. Hi Michael, you can try to turn off the "Add device automatically" on the Client settings. Then delete the camera and input the UID to try again. If it still can't work, you may need to reboot the camera.

Hi, if you are viewing the camera in LAN (for example, your phone/PC is in the same network as the camera), normally you can get an instant image without visible delay. But it's not designed to be a vehicle rear camera, so we won't recommend using it that way.

IP address from another network without some network configurations on your router... this is where I am stuck also... App works just fine, but the desktop client works differently and that is frustrating. Help appreciated as it seems i'm not the only one.
