Because it didn't work, the splash system wasnt good enough and people were abusing the system with lane swaps not to mention that for many that were used to trade roles during selection it felt restrictive. At least they tried...

Thats how you remove autofill (it actually works): When u get the roll you want (your main), and someone else quits LEAVE the Queue and requeue. IF you just accept a the new queue pop right away YOU GOING TO BE PUT ON AUTOFILL (most of the time), so just leave queue and reset... you will get your lane again. I got mid everytime because of it...

- Everyone with 50% win ratio this season. - Everyone with a balanced KDA - Average master tier Yassuo didn't play the meta. Yasuo might work as an adc counter but it's not a 50% win ratio champion in adc role. If he lost, it's because Kennen and Lee couldn't carry him.

4 autofilled makes no sense unless the five guys in moe's team were all tagging the same role let's say you got 5 people who tagged : mid, mid, mid, mid, jungle then 2 should get their roles looking back there was at least 3 different main roles in his team --> minimum 2 autofilled riot's matchmaking is just broken, it just asks for a player for a certain role and assigns the first player it finds, (considering autofill) which is fine but then they don't change roles back to see if there is maybe a better match for everyone and just launches games as is this is plain retarded

@@ItG8823 Except it's mathematically impossible for 4 people to get autofilled. Since everybody has a main role and off role, the maximum amount you can get is 3 autofills. The algorithm will try to get as many people to get at least an off role as possible. The streamer probably never paid attention in school and can't do math.

Tho im not a riot employee, im tired of streamers/high elo players complaining about high elo queue all the time. Like No autofill = longer queue time -> complaining about 40 mins queue (e.g. Metaphor/ Adrian Riven etc.) Short-queue time = some autofills -> complaining about autofills (e.g. Moe) or Short-queue time = more diamond players in high elo game -> complaining about overall quality of the game and s8 diamonds (e.g. TFBlade) Like no matter what riot does, high elo players complain, fact is NA has no players/players not playing at the same time, so high elo queue sucks

We can say what we want about balance, thoses challs put the game at another balance, some crazy lane kill in this vid. That are all about game, knowing the damage you'll do and will receive, based on the cdr of each spells, or just insane mecanical outplay, like that leblanc vs yasuo malphite, or the nutty apm all in of nidhog with caitlyn, perfectly timed, i mean the q kill at the frame after morgana comet to last hit, or the doomed draven alpha male have to 1v9 and solo end a game, and more. all this to say the game is balanced in chall. Lowers elo are not the same game at all.

Dota 2 added role picking recently. You don't have to pick a secondary, and there's no autofill. It's fine even with dota 2's smaller playerbase. It'll be fine in league too.
