I’m in my mid-30’s now and have avoided serious injuries for the most part but seeing Andrew pick that up made me cringe too and I just imagined his back giving out right there and how miserable he’d be if he couldn’t work on stuff for awhile. This summer I did have a minor incident getting a finger smashed in a hydraulic outrigger working on a tractor, and that was a nice wake-up call to be safer and take my time more when working on equipment. I’m glad it was just a finger but even with that I was severely limited from working for weeks and somewhat limited all summer. Im still trying to catch up on projects from not really being able to work much for the driest part of the summer. Something bad can happen in a an instant and your first thought is “why the hell did I do that, I should’ve been safer but was in too much of a hurry.” In recent years I’ve learned to try to come up with creative and clever ways to move heavy things without my back if at all possible though, I think that wisdom can only come with at least some age or from an unfortunate injury to teach you if age hasn’t yet lol

That level of complexity is above any one person's ability to fix it. There isn't a single person on this planet, that can fix something like that on their own. And i'm not bigging it up. You'd need more money than the 1% combined to go at it on your own, because you'd have to order 1-of by the truck load, as the program did. You'd need to know systems that aren't even viable anymore, you'd need to be able to convert all that technology to single person use - and that includes all the telemetry from the ground. You'd need an entire fleet of satellites to help you fly etc. This is why i laughed my arse so hard when the flat foot society dumpus said he's building a rocket to prove Earth is flat. LOL, what an idiot. To actually orbit, you need an entire mountain worth of people in dozens of fields. Otherwise, had it not been the case, Nazi Germany - with von Braun at the foot, would've done it. They would've put at least a Sputnik in orbit. USSR wasn't really that much more advanced, they had von Braun's papers and some traitor's leaks from US and they did it eventually - but look how many people they needed to do it. They took dozens and dozens of scientists from all over soviet land at gunpoint. And I mean, look at the DOGE idiot, he had to steal and bribe people from at least 16 different big aerospace companies and three space state agencies to actually make something that works reusing various old stuff and ditching a lot of the safety factors these rockets used to come with and most of the big stuff ends up exploding in orbit, because you just can't expect to glue things together and make them work at that level of complexity. One of the engineers from the Saturn era said that a rocket is a convention, where every department brought their own Rube Goldberg machine to make a collaboration for the largest RGM ever made. On a sidenote, for shame that US didn't keep the capital punishment for traitors. Selling secrets of the state that get your citizens offed... it should've been a single meal ticket to the 9th circle.

I love the fact Andrew is not trying to sell you something ever two seconds like the rest of the channels! If these companies that make electric bikes, charging systems, etc. would stop sending all these U-Tubers free merch, maybe they could lower the price so we could all afford one!
@rsmith3062Ай бұрын
It may seem all the merch giveaways to KZbinrs may raise the price of their product but they have to get the word out there that the product exists. These companies have a certain amount of their budget set aside for marketing and advertisment. Giving a few units away, at their cost, to KZbinrs that have an audience that will provide millions of views is an effective use of their advertising dollars. They would probably have to spend 50 times the amount in hard dollars to reach the same number of people. By the way, if you don't already know, youtube shortcut keys "L" will fast forward 10 seconds to get past what you don't want to watch, "J" will rewind 10 seconds if you go to far or want to watch something again. All that said I agree with you, it's good to see Andrew has not succumbed to these offers (yet).

If you can find a Ventrac 4231 TD and it's not too beat up, buy it and put either a rough cut or a flial mower on it. The extra wheel kit is a must for off camber terrain. It's an expensive piece, but it's a joy to use. The reason for the older unit is that they don't make a turbo diesel anymore. That model has a Diahatsu 950 in it that works well as long as you keep the radiator screen clean. Uses about a gallon per hour. It's amazing on hills. Perfect for what you're mowing. The difference is how easy it is to mow around stuff, and it's hydrostatic. The new ones are nice but really expensive.

Andrew here is a device you need to take off welds it will make your work more efficient and cleaner: get some carbon arc gouging rods. they come in flat or round rods These rods are often used in a process called carbon arc gouging or air arc gouging, which is used to remove metal, welds, or other materials. The rods are made of carbon and are used with an electric arc welder to create an intense arc that melts the metal, which is then blown away by a stream of compressed air.

I'm more than ready for an entire video about gas cans. [EDIT] This is probably my favourite video format when you're just doing random jobs. I sat through the whole thing.

Wait a minute, I just heard the comment you can't get a dumpster company to set one on your site. What about Dumpster Dave!

Hey Andrew, big fan of yours love your videos. Just wanted to maybe make a suggestion for your videos. When your using tools, especially things like an oxy acetylene torch or whatever explain to the subscribers what you're using, why your using it etc. Some people may not know what you're doing or why. Spread the knowledge brother.

Andrew when I’m working, I come up with all sorts of ideas of tools or different ways of doing things. I could see you developing some cool tools and implements and then build/prototype them on your ch. and then run them thru the paces just for the fun. Cheers love what you do…Minnesota Mike
