In many cases the bolts for the 12mm nuts break. If the exhaust manifold faces to the back then there is not much room for an impact driver.

Awesome video! I recently replaced my turbo on my 2.0TSI. Let me ask you something, is it common for there to be white smoke coming from the manifold? My guess is that the new manifold gasket is turning off/breaking in to the temperatures. Any suggestions?

adding extensions on to your impact you lost alot of torque, shorten it up some if possible

I can’t find the exhaust manifold gasket location-- or at least the shapes are different. Silly question and yes, I’m a woman. Anywho- the composite gaskets that I would like to install don’t match up with the gaskets on the exhaust manifold. I have triangles and circles- the ones on the car don’t match that set up- I didn’t buy these gaskets, when I Google the part, comes up as Exhaust Manifold Gasket and fits. . Am I missing something or if you could help me out, guide me in the right direction. 2002 Audi all wheel Quattro 2.7. Thanks much! Everything was taken apart last night. The last owner gave me the gaskets and told me they had to be replaced. The gaskets for where he said under the manifold…just don’t match up. Though there is tons of air coming from the top of the motor. I had everything apart and vacuumed up chunks of the block. I just want to know where the gasket for the triangles and circles go. Lol….

Hey, is blown exhaust manifold gasket or gasket on turbo can be cause of little unwanted blow off sound after throlle pedał relasing? I have no other symptoms like nad smell only a bit lower boost. Engine of mine is 1.8t agu im a3 8l.

sounds more like your diverter valve or wastegate, but on these cars it could be the n75, or vacuum lines to and from the wastegate / diverter valve

A shallow socket with extension to make it past the head. It's at a retard angle. Every video I've looked at totally bypasses this obviously annoying ASF detail.
