I had never considered using the "Multiplicity" process to remove tourists. I have been using the Spot Healing Brush (to varying success), or Cloning. This gives me a third option. Great tip Steve!

The Extended versions of Photoshop have a unique feature called "Load Files Into Stack", found under File -> Scripts. It will place images in a new document and align them automatically, even if they're not shot from the same spot. This is particularly helpful if you have crowds of people and the masking process becomes really tedious.

1) What is the big screen device behind your right shoulder? 2) What is your favorite software for reviewing and turning photos 90 degrees?

Steve... new to your site and already love all of your videos. Great work. I did have a question about this technique. With two images, this is fairly simple. Recently, I tried this technique using 7 or 8 images and it got really confusing. Can you do a tutorial on how this technique works with multiple stacked images? I found very quickly, it becomes an absolute mess starting at layer 3 and above. Not really sure what I'm doing wrong. Thanks for your feedback.

Well, select your layers (how many they are: 2, 3, 4,…, 20…), transform in one (unique) smart object, chose median from the Smart Objects menu (Layer > Smart Objects > Stack Mode > Median) - done!! - With this trick you will remove people cars and other moving object, even if they are a lot.

How would you do this in Lightroom?

this is called multiplicity where you can create multiple versions of someone in the same image...this is just the reverse. Least complicated version of the instruction I've heard so far

Anything with layers and masks blows my mind. I just don't get it.

Why not just select a bunch of pictures from the Internet. Take a bit from this one, a bit from that one, maybe something from over here, etc, etc. Then using PS you can jiggle, jiggle, copy, paste and whatever and make whatever picture you want. You don't even need a camera or to leave the house! You guys would be fucked with a roll of film!

zero videos, zero work to show, comes onto a professional photog's video and starts preaching? You do realize this is a gotdamn NATURE PHOTOGRAPHER, correct? He's actually out there unlike your stupid example of people using Photoshop.

On top of that, he comes from the 80's and 90's film era photography. Boy, you are a true idiot! lol
