I had an 1/2" pipe broken flush with a 4 ways fitting (part of an irrigation valve "tree" that would have been a real headache to rebuild), as the interior diameter of the pipe was too small for a torch, I used my soldering iron's external metallic arbor (without the soldering tip), it worked great, it took about 2 minutes, thank you so much for the inspiration.

I purchased $180 worth of pool fittings (pool companies are pirates). I am now returning everything but one fitting because this video worked perfectly. Awesome trick!!

It's a great tool to have in the tool box for difficult jobs. Also keep a can of white spray paint to clean it up if the pipe yellows. It works great
