I just took the clip off once the alternator was off so that I could rotate it. Thanks for all the specs and sockets sizes! Took me all of 40 minutes.

I have a question for the belt only 2 years experience i dont have to take the belt off I can just loseen it little bite to get it of the alternator

Future reference take the large bolt in place it back in its original location, but leave a couple threads out and tap it with a hammer to relieve the pressure on the nut against the mount

Great video!! Used it to change my alternator. When I started the truck after new alternator install I have a Chex engine light code says bad emissions and P068A ECM/PCM. No issues before.

If you remove the top bolt, loosen the bottom bolt, it will rotate enough to get better clearance to remove the plug, but the pick is still needed & worked perfect - I did use genuine Ford parts as they're now cheaper than remanufactured (Rock Auto has this alternator for about $325+tax,shipping,& core) both belts from Ford were $75
