Hi, quick question. I have a E90 318i. The rear diff went a month ago. Went to a garage, they replaced it with a reconditioned diff. 2 weeks later the rear diff blew up again with a loud noise. Is it literally bad luck/bad diff or could something else be causing it?

Could you just put in model number(s) with vid titles please for example “remove this from your BMW XXXX” or “ how to replace XXXX on a BMW XXXX” it would be really helpful when trying to find your vids in archive, “remove this from your BMW” won’t really help if people don’t have the issue at the time your vid is released. If you needed the information in this vid for a future repair how would you search for it on YT? go through every vid until you found the right one? No but a tag to the vehicle(s) in the title would really help. Thank you.

I’m about to ls swap my 525i. I’m tired of it sitting in the driveway not running right. By the time I buy all those sensors and figure out why this car won’t rev past 2k rpms, I could a put a 5.3 in it.

I got a problematic X3, 2005, 2.5cc with constant misfire on cylinder 6, changed plugs, coil packs, checked for vacuum leaks, replaced both O2 sensors and it still has a misfire on no.6 what should I be checking next or any advice is welcome?

With the valvetronic motor I’ve replaced the gasket and put the motor back and turned it with the alen key to the rest position then did the ignition on off and was ok, but then I reset it with ISTA and the engine seemed to run a little better idk, then after a few weeks I scanned it and got a valvetronic code and cleared it but didn’t do the adaptation again. Anyway it runs fine not sure if I need to do anything

Great vid and thanks for the new intro song. I'm in the US with an 07 X5 3.0. I have the black plastic cover. I preemptively replaced the Disa under the intake when I had to replace the starter, as I already had everything out. Didn't expect to see one there. Thanks for the heads-up, also replaced the 2 Vanos solenoids and CCV hose preemptively after watching another one of your videos. Vehicle has 165,XXX miles and has been running like a dream. I've had it a year.

When ever I have to remove my valvetronic motor I unscrew the small Allen screw on the back of the motor, am I doing this right? My car doesn’t have any issues I just don’t want to do something wrong

You don’t have to use a Allen to take it off just take off the 3 screws you can just put it back in . But if you use a Allen you need to make sure it’s seated properly and turn it clockwise until it gives tension . You’ll feel it when it grabs

Try the oil cooler gasket. They leak often.

I replaced all six coils. My mechanic found some lazy prick had replaced one with the wrong pack. I also said replace all plugs at same time. He then found ALL plugs were the wrong plugs and the thread was not long enough so ignition was happening up inside the plug thread. Watch who you get to do your work.

What a load of palaver owning one of these modern BMW’s is, do yourselves a favor & go back to buying the late 80’s early 90’s BMW’s, spend the extra refurbing them, those were cars. Myself, I use my head & avoid all this headache, I drive a Honda, not as luxurious as a bmw but sporty handling, quick enough for the roads & never misses a beat however hard I drive it, basic oil & filter change every 10k miles & she’s happy....spend all the money I save on unnecessary car repairs on living life well....no need for status cars, with cars like BMW’s/Audi’s/Mercedes, if u can’t afford to buy them brand new without feeling it in the pocket, you really can’t afford to own one, your just wasting your money which should have been spent elsewhere to better your life, like Scotty Kilmer says: ..”Rich people drive Toyota’s, poor people drive 2nd hand BMW’s”...he may be a wacky person but he’s correct here.
