I was just curious, what in your experience what are the most types of portrait retouching? I'd like to purchase a couple of the retouch me plug-ins, as you say they are expensive, I see myself removing blemishes, smoothing skin removing shine and balancing color. Are there certain plug-ins you recommend to start with? Thank you for these videos. They're very informative and I'm looking forward to watching watching more. I saw your interview with Glyn Dewis

Hi Unmesh, I wanted to ask if you would consider doing a video on adapting photo's to different paper sizes? I like printing photo's in 6x8, but my printer dialog does not list 6x8 in the Paper Size drop-down. I found videos on using the Crop tool to change the aspect ratio & stretching backgrounds. With a bit of fumbling, I managed to custom assign 6x8 & stumbled onto the Printable Area settings, though could not find my way back to it to adjust it further. You did a video where you reviewed several AI retouch programs & I'm hoping you could do the same for printer dialogs of various printer brands, I use 'Brother'. Could you also retouch on color management, as a hack I edit in photoshop, but retain printer control of colors to avoid images coming out dark. For an occasional hobbyist with a good measure of perseverance I go through a lot of photo paper trying to fumble through.

Best tutorials online by faaaaaar. But I wish you wouldn’t call it ‘ugly’ skin shine cause it’s not. It would be more accurate to say ‘ tone down skin shine’
@maylhinem1077 Жыл бұрын
I was looking for this comment. Rather questionable to call something natural and normal (shiny/oily skin) ugly...
@MaximilianonMars Жыл бұрын
It was a probably incorrect choice by a photographer to use a harsh light instead of a soft light when taking the photo. People do not walk around in everyday circumstances looking that oily, that's unnatural circumstances. To call it ugly is normal, because it is correct. This is not a 'body positivity' moment to claim it looks good, it's a mistake by the photographer. There are limited circumstances when harsh lighting is desirable on a human subject.
@Kyotopearl Жыл бұрын
@@MaximilianonMars While it might not be ‘right’ for EVERY instance this photo could be used for…Girl is GLOWING here🤩. If it was an AD for hydrating skin that product would fly off the shelves. And to say “people don’t walk around everyday looking this oily”…wow😆 Sounds like you are lacking some life experience here…Oily skin can be caused by a variety of factors like genetics, hormones, stress, diet, and humidity. Just as some people have more body hair, are taller or shorter, lighter, darker, it’s ALL natural. Just because it’s not what the photographer wants for that particular photo does NOT automatically make it ‘ugly’ by everyday standards.

If you want to replace the skin shine in accordance with the skin texture, all you need to do is copy the whole picture into an alpha channel, adjust the contrast and make a selection. Then, you can brush in an own layer (works since Photoshop 3.0) or directly in the picture (works since Photoshop 2.0). This is how I have been doing it as a pro for more than 25 years, and it doesn't take hours at all. 🤨 But I understand that all you are doing is convincing people to buy these overpaid and mainly useless plug-ins, which are not for free at all.
