Really wish there were like “normal” survivor areas in rapture. Like very blocked off and cut off from the player but for example you know there’s a few thousand (since raptures height population was 18,000) normal survivors just hiding away

Actually the Cut Splicer Concept Art reminds me of Burial at Sea’s “Early Splicers” who are more clean, less disfigured, slightly less crazy, and mostly use conventional weaponry.

BaS splicers are actually more disturbing, because despite their more “human” appearance at first glance, they have terrible wounds hidden by homemade masks. In B1, they instead at least have scars, having had their wounds healed with Adam's help (with mediocre success, of course). And I would say that the *real* early splicers are the ones shown in the B2 intro. They look like the most ordinary people, but clearly something is not quite right with them.
