Absolutely. Anyone who actually pays attention KNOWS this isnt about griefing, let alone it would be IMPOSSIBLE to pull it of on real players. You need a very specific set of moves(different from bot to bot) before you can drop lethal mobs on a player, and a real player could avoid it simply by moving away

It would be a good idea to have a section on your website dedicated to a list of traits that help players identify bots, and maybe make it mandatory for the clips submitted to the site to also include a section where the bot-hunter lists those traits, which lead them to believe they're dealing with a bot.

The first "person" I ever tried to be social with in WoW was a fishing bot farming deviates outside WC. I got myself all amped up to interact with a stranger and I said "how's the fish biting?" (not having a clue how the fishing mechanic worked). They never replied and I was instantly sad. It was some years and experience later when I thought back to that moment and realized I was trying to talk to a bot all along.

I made a troll hunter on Doomhowl NA hardcore server and was leveling from 5 to 10 by killing boars and scorpions to skin them to level leather working. I avoided quests until I got my pet because I felt this was safer to level. I had a few people stop to watch and whisper me, thinking I was a bot farming. People are becoming more aware and I'd like to think it's because of your videos. I saw 3 bot hunters later, all with boars and Chinese letters, farming the quillboars in Durotar. I reported them and asked other players to report them as well. As of tonight, those bots are still on and now farming in the Barrens somewhere. Blizzard just does not care or take quick enough action. Keep up the good work!

In WotLK / Cata I observed a different behavior for fishing bots. I don't remember them targeting me back when I selected them but it appears they do a simulated mouse click on the bobber, so if you sit on a huge mount and cover the whole bobber they start targeting you. Maybe you can use that information somehow.

there is another spot at the north of the cave shown on the map , south of steamwheedle port, lots of bots over there, and next to the naga who is friendly. in case you want to add some kills to you. should add to your website all the spots that are good for botting for the kills

I noticed that too. With some bots, the moment you target them they target you back and they keep doing it as they run away. Even at maximum range, if you target them they instantly target you back. Dead give away.

I have encontered the targeting thing as well. It was a mage in durotar and if i targeted the mage while it was casting, it would target swap to me and the enemy really quickly, like 5 times a second while still casting against the enemy

I don’t understand why anyone would assume you’ve been killing real players - your videos are pretty thorough at making it clear your targets are 100% bots. I still do have my concerns that other “bot hunters” may not be as thorough as you in order to contribute to the bot hunter list. If I’ve received “bot checks” on my self-found Hunter, then there’s clearly players that don’t know what they’re looking for when hunting bots.

You should clarify that identifying bots is crucial, explain in text how to do it, and mention that griefing can lead to getting banned and causing harm to your "movement's" reputation. Mistakes can happen, not from you personally, but from others.

Blizz should be happy someone is cleaning up the bots for them. If the bots complain and report, it just gives more evidence to blizz to ban them as blizz can see their logs, they can see what has been happening and what is going on. Blizz doesn't take immediate action because they don't want the bots adapting and changing.

Just be careful when doing this. Blizzard is cracking down on bot killing and I know a few people who accounts were suspended for”griefing”. One person I know was banned for this. The bots are backed up on the server and will return again, same exact account with same exact gear, as if they never died, I have no idea how they managed to accomplish this. The bots account can and always will be replaced, your account cannot be replaced, so for those that do this, be very careful when doing this.

In darkshore on doomhowl just two days ago I saw some hunter bot just farming mobs randomly, would stop pulling when I approached, would target me when i targeted them, even smile emoted at me. id walk away and it would resume until i came back and repeat the script. its very very very obvious with the spammy toon name

I noticed when I was looking at your action bars on this first kill that alot of your abilities were too expensive at your mana level by the time you reached the bot. It reminded me that in a few previous videos you've had mana issues get in the way of bot kills. Considering the mobs are usually a good chunk lower level than you usually, do you think you should consider purchasing/crafting some Intellect gear to improve this? Obviously this wouldn't be gear you'd use in any real in-game content but your dps doesn't really matter in bot killing. Or at least carry some mana pots?
