Richard and Teresa, so glad you and Trent were able to work things out. Never good when things like this happen. Always learning from you Richard. I'll NEVER do this work, ever, but the knowledge is awesome. I can walk into my local shop and actually understand what they are talking about, and even ask knowledgeable questions. Matter of fact, now that I found a reliable shop I found that they follow your page as well. :)

Thanks for the explanation although you don’t owe it to us. It makes perfect sense. Build the transmission perfect for the people. I’m just grateful to see the teardowns and the tips you include about what to watch out for and what to go back with. Thank you for providing all of this information to us for nothing.

Love you're videos and the knowledge you have on everything. 20 years ago I built a car and there was know one in my area that could build a tranny. I bought one from ATI cost 800 bucks back then and I have never had a problem with it. 565 ci 828hp to the wheels 5.32 135 in 3400 lb car. Now I can't imagine what it is gonna cost if I replaced it. I wish you were in VA

There still a lot more to putting them together then what y’all explain when yall tear them apart. That’s what we want to see. We understand it’s a customers vehicle. You are the go to source for problematic issues with transmissions. But seeing you put them together would be great to see. We all could benefit from that, taking your expertise and carrying it on

Here is an interesting idea. Do a video of rebuilding, But, Don't say a word during the taping. The cameras can be fixed and filmed at different angles.. Afterwards while editing the video you can explain what you did. As in narrating your work.

Why cutoff the old bellhousing?
@davidtoups46842 ай бұрын
NHRA rules require that the bellhousing meets a certain SFI spec (See the label on the new one) that will contain the shrapnel if a converter explodes. Since most automatics (Except the Ford C4) do not have separate housings, the stock one has to be cut off the case so the new one can be installed
