Ohhhh I get it, I just cleaned and oiled my grandma's old machine, worked out how to load the bobbin but but I couldn't work out why the hook race thing containing the bobbin was not going back in easily, turns out I just had to turn the wheel so that the shallow 'U' shaped part was vertical to the right, and then it popped in. I had also already released the tiny black lever to the right of the surround, just in case anyone is missing that part 😁

When I took out my Bernina 380 machine hook, a small piece popped out with it and now I don't know where it goes.

How do you replace the hook race cover?

I'm having an issue with replacing the machine hook. Every time I think it's in place, it pops out again. Can you show exactly what angle you are inserting the hook?

Make sure the leaf spring on the left hand side of the black race is pushed in all the way when the hook is in place.

Lay the machine on its side, drops right in! I struggled with this for hours.

Leaning the machine slightly back will help with the hook lining up into the basket driver

Basically after watching that section of the video about 10 times I went to my machine and just put it in like I knew how to do it. I guess I just needed confidence! Ha! Thank you so much!

Your video was just what I wanted to know but most of the time your hand was in the way and the camera was very jerky. I will have to find another video.
