Wow! Excellent tutorial - lots of detail. I just inherited my sister's 1630 and am completely intimidated by this machine. I'm still in the 20th century with my old mechanical Kenmore and my other sister says she's not supposed to oil her electronic quilting machine so I really needed this - thank you!

I love your relaxed and friendly delivery - does wonders for a learner's confidence 🙂 I am curious to know whether or not it’s okay to oil my Bernina 930 Record with the Lily White oil you recommend placing a drop of on the 1630’s hook where the sharp end meets the raceway? I ask because, as you point out, unlike the 1630 the 930 has a removable oscillating hook.

Jeremy, how do I get my feed dogs back up. You said something about a button on the side. My 1630 has no button on the side. Am I missing something. What is the name of the Bernina 1630 group on Face Book? Thank you so much for this video. Do you have any more videos?

Hi sir , I own a Bernina 1630 sewing machine. We moved to a different house and the accessories box of the sewing machine is lost . I need a walking foot and a zipper foot too . Used stuff is ok . Where can I get them please? Etsy ‘s price is 200$ . Very expensive for me.
