Jimmy, that transmission is an RB20/SR/KA transmission. They don't last long behind an RB25 especially if you're making more than stock power. Best to change it out for an RB25DET or CD09 transmission now.

@@JimmyOakes let me persuade you to do it. it’s a 1hr job max & you’ll love the car at over 16psi of boost. Plus you have e85 & if you just keep ignition timing conservative 500whp is reliable on the s1/2 motors with stock internals. Those high flowed turbos can get you to 400+hp really easily on e85. You got yourself a cam trigger yet? Search for the NZ Wiring RB cam trigger. Around $300 & a must have for anything over 300hp on an RB. Link ECU will love it too. Do a full timing service too while your there. Sorry if you know any of this already just wanna see you shredding with an RB & want to pass on the knowledge ☺️

We got nothing in australia that came with this engine. The closest thing we have to this is in the R31 but that's with a RB30 single cam and they are in unbreakable!! I built an my Silvia with an RB30 block and put an RB25 head (twin cam) and I abuse the hell out of this engine, and I've never had a problem.

Keep the sump and harmonic balancer if it's not chipped. Both work on the other rb motors. And lots of dumped get dented and lots of harmonic balancers get chipped and damaged

i think you should build up an extension ramp outside, behind the door where you always throw stuff you dont need outside to the gravel nearby those subies (loading bay i guess?) near the dump skid, where u can just reverse from your shop towards outside, do all kind of power wash/under carriage wash outside and let the water just drop to the gravel area (if its legal)

Yo jimmy, the rb20e came in r30/r31/r32/r33/laurels and cefiros. Holden back in the late 80s also took it and used it in VL commodores. They also have a rb30e which is a single cam 3ltr and a RB30ET dudes in aussie make dumb power out of them (1000+hp) I think your model of skyline is either a GTE or just a GT. loving the content hope you had a great holiday and new year, love and respect from New Zealand.

That Rb20 will make for a sweet party motor lol those things love the bashing of limiter, just need to find a super light and nimble chassis for it. There's a channel called keep it reet where they show the potential of these almighty rb20s with a turbo. Even a Channel called motive that compares all the rb blocks for strength ect and these ain't so bad, it's the head that is restrictive when it comes to flow and high HP applications but who needs a buckload of power when you can sit on the limitter and have fun 😅 Coming from down under, we have so many of these rb20s haha.
