Storms and rot contributed to this willow tree going over. Thankfully minimal damaged happened to the house!

You did that absolutely correct brother. Take all the weight off before you remove the branch on the roof. Very nice work. Wish I was younger and lived close to ya. I would have enjoyed that job. For whatever reason, my favorite jobs were always a tree that had fallen on a house. It is a puzzle that has to be solved. Had one years ago where just a branch of this giant old oak tree had cut the house in half. Super dangerous. House was unstable. Tree was super sketchy. And it was literally the largest oak I have ever seen. Took me two days to get it down and another day to haul it off. And I loved every minute of it.

Thanks! Yeah trees on structures are definitely fun from a tactical point of view. Obviously this one was a small tree and relatively easy but fun nonetheless! Dang, just a branch did that? Must have been a huge tree! I’ve done quite a few on houses but never one that actually cut through a house yet. I can imagine that would add even more variables to the situation…

“Just start cutting and see what happens…” 😂 classic. That’s half my jobs

Right on! Sometimes you've just got to get some brush out of your way so you can see what's going on!

Yeah, the lighting wasn’t great either. I should’ve just set up the tripod on the roof but I didn’t think of that in the moment. Still figuring this filming thing out. I appreciate the feedback!
