Got a 90s car and it had that adhesive fake wood dash?
It really dates the vehicle, and underneath that nasty fake veneer wood, is your OEM plastic finish which has been preserved for 30 years!!
Time to take it OFF!
It is a big undertaking. I used plastic tools with smooth curved edges, as to not scratch. I would take off the hard plastic pieces, working the plastic underneath bit by bit. As for the glue, I would pick at it with my finger nail which driving and sitting at red lights. Then flick the little pieces of rubber at Cars like boogers. (ok... JK on that last part.. I didn't flick them, I ate them.)
Hot days are best as it softens up that gunny glue.. Or use a heat gun to heat it up a little bit.
I used the Uni-Solve adhesive remover (easy on the hands) and does the best job without damage.
Now the Dash is looking incredible!!
