Removing Alternator fuse on a 2007 Toyota Camry 2.4L

hello how did you test it? just pulled it out? I am concerned whether it has something in it holding it down. And what symptoms did you have? My battery and alternator are new and have no problems but the battery light still on!!! help please

The owner connected the battery backwards. And popped the charging portion of the fuse. You dont have to test it , you can see it. And if you watched the video it tells you how to get it out.

Gilbert Galvan thank you for the fast response. I just check the fuse. It’s fine. Nothing it’s broken. I don’t get it. I have taken my car to Napa and car quest to run their fancy machines to check my charging system. No problems. They have no clue what’s wrong 😭

First thing i would do is remove alternator ,and battery. Then take them to your local AutoZone and have them test both components. If they both test good , then you know the car is at fault. Then we would have to test the charging system that concists of harness, fuses, fuse box and the mega fuse that i replaced on this camry. First step, test the alternator and battery. Even if they are new. You have to aliminate all the suspects.

Why do we have to remove the entire battery and fuse box just to get the alternator fuse out? Why not just pull it out?

There are 3 Screws holding the fuse in. You can't just pull it straight out. Look at the fuse im holding, 3 prons have holes in them. Thats where the screws are.

Ok this was 4 years ago and HOPEFULLY you see my post… I’m thinking that I have the same issue, however I’m stuck at trying to remove the bad fuse, I’ve tried everything to get it out but it will not budge, and I don’t want to damage anything else… Is it a proper way to remove this blue block fuse?

Gilbert, thanks for the video. This is where I started when this happened to me. I'm currently still dealing with this. I replaced the fusible link along with 2 other mini fuses. But car will still not turn over. Cranks but won't start. Any ideas. Thanks

I have an 09 Camry hybrid. Could this fuse be related to the car running fine and then after sitting 2 days, I get no start and check hybrid system on the dash. This is frustrating as hell. Im wondering if it could be the culprit. Has a fresh battery

Question, how to did you diagnose and concluded that was the issue, before going through the trouble of dismantling the fuse box?

The fuse has 4 or 5 windows in it . Its like 5 fuses in 1. You can see a burned residue on the window for the alternator. The only bad thing is if only 1 fuse link burns you have to change the whole thing.

The reason it all happened was my friend put the battery backwards and connected the wrong terminalsand it sparked when he did that. Afterwards the battery kept dieing. I checked the power at the back of the alternator And it was fine. Just wasn't able to charge the battery.

@@SuperDjnrg No you didn't, you just talked about how you disassembled half the electronics system and then panned over to the fuse already in your hand. Did you NEED to do all all that to get to the fuse? Was there some special clip holding it in? Did you use pliers? A screwdriver? How many pushups, how many situps, what kind of juice did you drink to give you the strength to pull this out off camera?

@@DoomFoxofDeath#1 you have to unbolt the fuse box from the inner fender. #2 then remove the bottom cover from the fuse box. #3 then turn the fuse box sideways to remove 2 screws that will release the fuse.

I have to take the air cleaner and computer off to get enough room to take the fusebox off of the fender?

I dont think i had to remove the computer, i just releast the bracket to move it to the side to get enough rome to flip the fuse box afterwards.

I saw you you took a lot out to eat to that fuse. How did it actually pull out? What was holding it in place? I need to replace a fuse also and it doesn’t just pull out.

No it doesn't jut pull out. When you release the fuse box from the firewall fenderside you will have enough room to remove the lower cover of the fuse box. Once thats removed you can see the two 8mm screws that hold it place. Then it will slide out. Sorry my video wasnt clear on that part. I will try to do better next time.

Hi there, i connected my battery backwards aswell and the same fuse poped. In your case did the car not start? Were there any other issues with the car?

Yes it wouldn't start because the battery was dead when that fuse pops the alternator cannot recharge the battery but if you took the battery out and charged it outside of the car it should start but it still won't charge as long as that fuse isn't fixed.

@@SuperDjnrg I see, I connected the battery backwards but now even with a fully charged battery nothing works inside. No radio, no wipers no power anything. Just the dash lights up and the head lights work. Any clues? Checked all the other fuses already :\

Thanks for the video. For the blown fuse shot, turning off your camera light while the background light stayed on should help.

Thanks for the video. I have been having problems that seem like a bad alternator, but its not. I had the battery tested, put a new alternator in and I still have the same problems.... (dash lights flickering, gauges going on and off, throttle problems). I haven’t put the battery leads on wrong so I feel like there’s a wiring issue or a fuse issue... any thoughts?
