I'm curious what was your impression of the trail max missions after putting many miles on them? Did they seem to slow the bike down like you guessed in the video? Also are they a tubed or tubeless tire?

We use tubes - heavy duty tubes. Between the weight of the Trailmax Missions, tubes, and the extent of luggage we carry (live full-time on the bikes) the KLRs are effected. This is especially notable when we have to climb a steep highway road or when trying to pass traffic. As far as the tires go - no complaints. Currently we have over 10K miles on them and they still have enough tread to ride safely on the pavement for another 1K miles. We’ve rode a lot of BDRs with them including the SoCal, Utah, and Idaho routes without any real problems except for clay-like mud and deep sand. Overall we’re happy enough with the Trailmax Missions that we’ll run them again for the next 10K+ miles.
