@@Donnythelatemodeltech I know what those thumb downs are. There are jerks out there that actually live to thumb down everything. Their lives are so pathetic the only thing that makes them happy is hoping they can hurt the feelings of someone else. What those jerks don't know is even a thumbs down helps your channel. It makes no difference if the thumb is up or down both help your channel equally. So in the end, the pitiful jerks lose after all! This was an awesome video. You really helped me! Thanks so much!

Nice Job!!! I watched another guy on the internet do that to his stainless steel frig and the the part of his dent tool that rests against the refrigerator (not the glued part) made the dent much much worse. I don't have any dents in mine, but I know that panel is over $300.00. That whole paintless dent removal is a bit of an art. I watched a guy do it on a black car with a dent worse than yours and he got it out 100% and black really shows dings. Took him like an hour. One time I set a front door on it side and really dinged up the door knob from the weight (don't ever do that). That know by itself was not available any more. I took a small drill and drilled a hold in the neck of the know where you rally can't see it and pushed 90 percent of the dent out with a nail clamped in a Vicegrips. Since the know was an antique brass and old and rough and not shiny it was a good repair. Again, really nice video!!

I picked up this kit to try and remove a few dents from the door of the subzero refrigerator, and this thing will not budge the dents in the door. I have to assume there are some different materials or construction over the Samsung. In fact, the plastic pieces that you glue to the door wind up, popping off from the glue and there is still zero improvement. I let the glue set for 8 to 10 minutes before trying to pull

Wow! I'm super impressed! Excellent tutorial! Thank you so much! I need a new fridge, but the prices with this inflation is making buying a new fridge a real problem. I refuse to use a credit card and go into debt. I found a company with new fridges with scratch and dents, but thought wow, now I have to look at a dent(s). But now, I have hope! I think I can find a new fridge, with dent(s) that I can actually easily repair with good results. I think the key is look for soft dents, like you had, and avoid the dents with metal creased edges or puncture shapes - those have too much metal damage to pull out smooth. Thanks again!

Can you tell me please how you to determine how much 'pull' pressure to reach by squeezing the mechanism? Is it best to go with real light pressure, remove the pad attachment, examine, and then re-attempt if necessary? Can the attachment tips be reused? Also, before you use soft hammer the smooth the surface, can you use a compact/small leveler to determine how level it is? Your method seems to work better than the hair dryer followed by dry ice or upside-down compressed air I have seen in other YT videos. Did you try that beforehand? Would this other technique work (or be sensible to attempt) once the dent is reduced to minimize it more easily than with the clamp method you used?

@ethanf.68484 жыл бұрын
Generally, Stainless Steel (SS) appliances cannot be easily dented unless you knocked it real hard. By deign that it cannot be easily dented, it also cannot be easily repaired. A comparison of the SS thermos flask vs the aluminum coke can and you get the idea. Many fridges nowadays may look like SS but are in fact metallic vinyl layer. The "creases" or "dents" on the vinyl layer cannot be fixed satisfactorily with the PDR kit. It may be possible for the PDR to reposition the warped area, giving the impression that it has been repaired. For a permanent repair, the entire vinyl could be replaced. As for real SS appliances, I doubt it could be fixed with PDR kits which are primarily designed for aluminum that is a far softer metal. Normally SS dents could only be repaired using TIG welding and I had seen this done by a professional. There are of course, many other considerations such as material/thickness of the shell and the substrate below it (e.g. fridge could be using a vinyl layer to simulate SS and the door material beneath could be aluminum, iron or plastic). My point is there is really no "one-size fit-all" solution.
