I did the bleach wash without any dish soap & I used olaplex shampoo instead of dandruff shampoo, 20 volume developer, and a creme bleach! It worked like a dream :) also had some vitamin e oil and coconut oil in my hair all day and kept it in when I did the bleach wash so I think that might have helped too. My hair looks and feels so goood thank you for the tips

TBH when your were like, "this works in 5 minutes," I was ready to call BS. But! I tried this on myself. I had purple hair similar to what you started with, and I used this mixture, and as soon as I was done applying it, all the color had lifted and I washed it out and was back to my normal blonde highlights. It worked like a dream!!!! Thank you for this video. 😻

Did you use 20 volume like she did or 10 like you’re supposed to? My hair is literally exactly like hers. Dirty blonde roots, leftover faded lavender purple on the length / middle and more faded on the ends. My purple is slightly lighter than hers though. Same hair type as hers too, so curious if I’m 10 or 20 as I’m new to all this! 🤗

When I used to swim I would wet my hair with regular tap water first (even a hose) and it felt like my hair absorbed that before any chlorine could get in!
@WickedMo34 жыл бұрын
@Em & Morg it doesnt make a difference depending on how much chlorine is in the water. Chlorine is like bleach. If it wants in it’s getting in.
@alley.rose264 жыл бұрын
Yes this is right! One of the first things I learned in cosmetology was that hair absorbs whatever it touches until it cant, so if you get your hair wet before it touches chlorine, your hair will be so much better off!!

I’ve been swimming for a very long time from a salt water pool in Florida to being on a swim team, then I was Captain on a Synchronized Swimming team then as a club. My natural is ginger, but I like to color it to look like Ariel lol. My tricks for preventing damage and protecting color: Sulfate and Paraben free(I’m also super allergic!) shampoo and conditioner, it’s made my hair grow faster/stronger/healthier. Before I go to swim, when showering I wet my hair was lukewarm water then I just cover it in conditioner making sure it’s saturated. Then I still wear a cap to protect it. Then after swimming I use Ion Swimmers Shampoo and Heavy moisture conditioner. Then I use either Moroccan oil and work it through or Shea Moisture Silicone Free Non-Breakage treatment. I hope this helps, this is just what worked for me and I hope that anyone finds it useful:) ❤️❤️

Stefany Stoilkova yes it works. all you have to do is follow the instructions for the bleach you have and add either shampoo or conditioner. my cosmetology teacher would always do that for my hair to reduce damage to my hair. i have super coarse thick asian hair so my hair can handle a lot.

Question, I followed this and also bleached my 1 ½inch roots. I ran out of lightener and ended up really stretching the bleach bath. Well I now have some purple spots that didn't quite lift all the way mixed in with my blonde lol. When I do my roots again for a touch up, would taking some diluted bleach (bleach bath again) on those spots be okay to lift it? Does that mean those spots will need toner again as well? I'm so glad I found your videos! You helped me finally feel brave enough to do it myself!

I tried this method, and I really think it would work if you follow her measurements. However, I live in a country where you only can get 30 or 40 volume, so I used 30 volume. Did not follow the measurements and used way to much shampoo (thought it was a good idea bc of the high volume), now I have turquoise spots all over my head and my deep violet did not fade at all on the rest of my hair. My hair is so damaged so I don't want to risk it and bleach again, so blond hair is not going to happen for me any time soon (had platinum blonde before I dyed it deep violet with manic panic). So, just to warn you guys, follow her measurements, don't be like me. Haha, love your videos btw! :D
