In this video I show how to remove the bottom cover of a Korg MicroStation. It's not hard, but you just need to remove the correct screws.

Any amount is greatly appreciated - one or two dollars can go a long way to help cover the cost of equipment and other expenses associated with these videos.
Thank you! Fishpotpete

I see a very nice empty cavity which might accomodate some kind of battery to make this small keyboard really portable!

@@fishpotpete You're welcome, and thanks for making this disassembly video! I'm about to get one and I was already thinking of using a USB-PD capable powerbank to provide the 9V necessary, but seeing that internal space I think I might actually put it inside, while exposing the USB charging port of the powerbank by maybe drilling a small hole in the back.

It would depend on what's wrong with it. There are plenty of parts available and everything looked to be plug and play (assuming you find the part). It's going to cost a few dollars, but you could probably almost build one from scratch :-) Do you have one that's not working properly?

Yes, once you get the back off, you can access the subboard that has the output jacks. There will be additional screws/wire connections you'll need to deal with - but I didn't record that for this video (maybe I should have!). The hard part for me on these things is figuring out how to open the case without breaking something. I replaced both jacks and they're working great ever since. I don't remember exactly were I bought the jacks from, but it wasn't Amazon or Adafruit. Maybe Digikey or Mouser? I couldn't find them in my records; If you do this, unsolder one so you know what it looks like, then start searching the various supplier and check the specs for sizes/etc. The replacements should just pop back in place exactly. Hope this helps!
