Good video. Shows that everything is not as easy as some make it appear. Three things. 1. Nut Splitter. Using a nut splitter can have both nuts off quicker than wrenching one if you do not have room for an impact wrench. 2. Place a bottle jack under the bottom ball joints threaded part. Then raise the jack until the coil spring compresses about an inch. Smack the bracket with a hammer. 9 out of 10 times the ball joint will pop right out of the knuckle. 3. Remove the bottom ball joint first. Place the bolt on the "C clamp" down. You can then use an impact wrench on it. By placing the C clamps bolt pointed down on the to ball joint. An extension can be placed up through the bottom joints hole.

Some people don't realize that the struggle is real. Thanks for watching. 👍

Mine is stuck on the bottom right now. I slammed that thing with a sledgehammer so many times. Time to go with the map gas torch. Thanks for the video.

I'm afraid to do my ball joints on my 2002 Jeep Grand Cherokee 4.7L, the rear shocks and Sway Bar link bolts had to be cut out being rust welded to brackets/bushing sleeves. Nightmare I tell ya. Can't imagine how hard the FN ball joints will be. I'm replacing upper/lower control arms in front and rear, Sway bar links, Sway bar bushings, Steering Stabilizer, shocks already changed, tie rods, coil springs and insulators and possibly some brackets. I'd like to grind/wire brush out the surface rust off every part and important frame areas that are easy to access and then put self etching primer and rust proofing base coat enamel on it all (spray cans with hardener).

I hear you can go to auto part stores like O'Reillys and borrow the ball joint removal kit by putting up the cash for it ($40) and get the money back after returning it within 48 hours with rental receipt.

Did mine 1 1/2 yrs ago… lower drivers side nut was cross threaded! Took me 2 hrs + to remove😂

You could have gotten an impact wrench on the top of the tool and that whole job would have been easier had you put the front axle in full droop.
