I put an m.2 sata sdd because I couldn't find anywhere telling if it would take nvme ssd. It had a WD 1tb hdd so I put in a matching WD m.2 and used the Acronis cloning software from the WD website and it worked like a charm. Also it says 8gb ram is the max but there are two slots and it has w10 64 bit. It seems to me that it should take more ram. If I had the extra cash I'd give a try expanding the ram. The hardest part was finding a screw for the M.2.

Hello, i need some help and information that i haven't been abel to find anywhere else. I have a HP Slim Desktop S01-pF2013w, one of those sell by Walmart. The specifications are: Processor Intel Core i3-10105, Internal Intel UHD Internal Graphics, Fan Cooler, 180W PSU, 8GB DDR4 RAM, 256GB M.2 NVMe SSD Storage, Windows 11 Home, Dark Black. I want to know if it's possible to upgrade the CPU to the Intel Core i5-10400 taking into consideration the 180W PSU, both processors have a TDP of 65W. I don't plan on installing any dedicated GPU or any other power consumption item except for one or maybe two HDDs for extra storage. I'm not a gamer but i will do some video encoding from time to time, so those extra cores and threads would come in handy. Next year i'll build my dream CPU more powerful but until then i'll be using my HP Slim Desktop. Can I upgrade the CPU? Is it safe? Will 180W be enough? I hope anybody can help me, i don't know why this info is so hard to get.

But then the memory upgrade guidelines also incorrectly state your PC supports a total memory capacity of only 8 GB on 64 bit operating systems? Your PC has an Intel H370 chipset. This chipset can support up to 16 GB modules in each memory slot. This would give you (2x16 GB) for a total of 32 GB.

I was not impresssed because he failed to mention or show the cords that hook to the hard drive itself! I put it back togeth 2 times before I figured it out. When he slid out the "bezel?", he could have mentioned the cords that were attached to them. I assume mine were just tugged out in the process. I saw them hanging there, as well as hanging there in his video, but he never mentioned to disconnect them or that they were supposed to be connected somewhere. Yea...I'm NOT a technician so it made sense to me that they were just hanging...maybe they were for something else you might want to add down the road. But no...they definitely needed to be hooked up. And....just tried it all again and I still get the same message: "Boot Devise not found. Please install an operating system on your hard disk" Hard Disk - (3FO)" What??

I've been trying to get an answer for a year to that question. There are two slots numbered 1& 2 and it's W10 64bit. It seems to me you should be able to go to 16gb.

If you haven't bought one of these yet - DON'T! The system has numerous problems. Despite the hardware, mine would barely play KZbin videos. Then, when I added a graphics card, it started turning itself off randomly. I now have a lovely black $300 paperweight.

This computer is a piece of junk. I bought one about a year ago and right out of the box it was slower than an old HP that I had in about 2000 with windows 95 on it. I have done just about everything under the sun to speed it up and nothing worked. The tech support told me there is nothing else that can be done. I'll never buy another HP.
