Does this also work for light rust on Damascus knives? I have one that I accidentally left in the sheath for too long and I’m scared to try and remove the rust without damaging the etch.

Yes but you should try a finer one, as it will lighten the etching on the damascus

Yes it will but there is finer erasers that won't, they come in different coarses.

@Aa-ron22 yeah it's good to get to it asap because once pitting starts you can't get that out without grinding the surface down, however you can prevent the pitting from getting worse

It's great when heat treated well, but alot of companies struggle with it as it's more difficult to do in production size batches
