i saw another guy add a light bulb while he was measuring the voltage. adding the load will show which ones drain faster

Get a new 12v battery before you replace your hybrid battery, If the 12v is low it’s going to affect your hybrid battery. I bought a used hybrid battery after the one in the video, It ran ok for 3 months however it started to show only a few bars in the display indicator, it even went to zero bars a few times, I was so mad I just bought this used hybrid battery for $800 and it barely lasted any time… So I just wanted to try to replace my 3 year old 12v to see if that would help and omg, now my hybrid battery is reading almost full bars (9 bars) I can drive in ev mode for so long now I’ve never been able to do that , my motor barely comes on except if I floor it or up hill. So please replace your 12v battery first before you start to think your hybrid battery is dying

Sometimes the hybrid battery will test nomal, however it doesn't mean the battery is ok, this was a dead hybrid battery but every cell was reading normal, so I was confused, but then I bought a used hybrid battery and put it in, everything was fine. If your car has a warning siren and stops running, says check brakes, it may be the hybrid battery, if that's low it will make the car start the warning siren and start giving you all kinds of problems, the worst thing is that it may say something to check that isn't the problem... its because the hybrid battery is dying, this will make it say CHECK BRAKES, CHECK ENGINE, etc

Mine read 27 all the way mine was easy to come out and very light

I wish the car would still be a normal car if the battery died. I'm dressing this day in my Sonata. I remember when I bought my car in 2015 asking the sales rep what happens when the I have issues with the battery. He said don't worry, Hyundai uses cells and when it breaks you just replace the cell that is bad and therefore it is much cheaper. So far I have seen everyone replace the whole bloody thing.

you would need at least a programmable charger capable of 30volt 2amp, remove the hybrid battery, like he did, charge each individual cell separately.

Yes the problem was the batteries, even though they read good numbers, they were all still bad and time to replace. I put in new hybrid battery and everything worked well again. I was getting a lot of codes and siren warnings because of this bad battery, I learned that just testing them on a meter isn't good enough.

I have a 2014 Kia Optima Hybrid. What are calling sirens? Are you talking about the hybrid warning lights?

Took me 1hr ..so far all batteries tested good on mine hopefully is not the inverter...

mine did too, but still all the hybrid batteries were bad, the reason I know this is not because I was able to correctly test them or had anyone help test them, it was because when I put in the new hybrid batteries... everything was normal again, no more warning sounds or stalling, brakes failing, no more reading "Check brakes" , "Check hybrid system" Also the car responded faster with the new battery when I hit the petal, almost instant the car would move.. before it would hesitate about a second first. The battery indicator bar on the nav screen that shows the hybrid level has almost full bars now , about 8/10 bars.. where as before the hybrid battery indicator would show 3..2..1 and even no bars at all, then would stall The hybrid battery controls a whole lot more than I thought on this Sonata Hybrid:) I bought a used hybrid battery on eBay for $50..0 it worked well. A new one is around $1800 and costs hundreds to ship to you.

@@HYUNDAI.Hybrid.Repairs im glad it work out for you ,in my case the fault code U0111 is a communication error with the computer module upfront I replace it with a few from the junkyard. and still no luck also repleced the battery from a running car same error came up ..last option is to have a electric check the can system
