This video is long, BUT it was good to see the detail and struggles when removing and re-installing the starter which most other shorter videos I watched did not show. Another good point here is the unexpected part of it being a different issue which may be common in the G35 and apply to someone else going through the same things.. It is always good to get back to the basics, unplug fuses and relays and plug them back in as sometimes that fixes things like this.
@MachineHeadRepairProjects5 жыл бұрын
I do agree with you. :)

Hmmm I do remember using the wrong fuse as an emergency on a headlight that wasn’t working properly, any chance that might cause starter issues ? Lol long shot but maybe
@CONald_is_A_false_Prophet2 жыл бұрын
@@rickyymunoz all starters fail at some point and if it's been a while it's likely just at the end of it's life. Could be a battery and or grounding connection issue also. Typically you can pull it out and hit it with power to see if it grinds or runs smoothly. Sometimes it's a solenoid. You may find a cheaper alternative to get a used one at a local scrapyard too. I have done that and it usually works out well, most have oem parts even. Hope this helps.
@CONald_is_A_false_Prophet2 жыл бұрын
@@rickyymunoz oh and make sure to swap your fuse back out. Being in an emergency is one thing but you never want to have the wrong size fuse for anything, could actually start a fire since the circuit / wire may not be able to handle the load it's carrying.

Thank you for this great video. Your video was very informative and was recorded in real-time while removing and replacing the starter, so I noted it was approximately 17 minutes active time. I also appreciated the clarity of the video to highlight the specific nuts and bolts that must be loosened and removed, along with the harness.

Is it true that this car or model burns alot of engine oil? Like u have to keep adding to it?
@MachineHeadRepairProjects4 жыл бұрын
Yes and no. depending on how many miles you have on the vehicle, and how maintain your maintenance are. typically over 130k miles it will start burning oil, but that is in a lot of engine. maintenance is import on the Nissan 3.5 liter engine.

@@4ecks5 they do burn a lil bit but its acceptable, my car burns about half quart every 1000 mi which is not bad, i heard it also helps if you use castrol edge synthetic oil to help not burn too much, have not try it yet but will do it on my next oil change
@4ecks54 жыл бұрын
Brandon Black thanks for the input. What if its using conventional do i just switch to synthetic next oil change?
@brandonblack20954 жыл бұрын
@@4ecks5 yea you can switch to synthetic from conventional oil, no problem. Im using Supertech synthetic 5w-30 right now but will try castrol edge snythetic next time. I read somewhere before where people have oil burn issues they use that and it seems to burn less. just check your oil once a month
