Absolutely fantastic information. I just received a new strap and bezel for my Rangemen and the small plastic part that came from nowhere on the tray had me stumped. This video answered my question as to where it came from. I must say that the front bezel screws do not actually screw out. To remove the four front bezel screws, you will need to pry them out.

Good morning again PerthWatch from the middle of Minnesota, USA where it's 55 degrees and pouring rain. Just watched your bezel / NATO - Zulu strap replacement video for the G Shock Casio's. I recently purchased a bezel / strap combination for the G Shock 9400 from Tel Aviv, Israel and I knew I would have some attachment concerns when it arrived. Your excellent presentation addressed all of these concerns perfectly. I know 68 years old is really not that ancient but I still find it amazing to be at my location and to be in direct communication with Tel Aviv, Israel and Perth, Australia with just a few key strokes. Very nice! Did you trim the adaptors? I find it does push out the resin bezel a bit coz it doesn’t all fit nicely underneath

Very informative video. By the way, those type of NATO strap adapters also worked out fine on my GD-350. I used some case back screws to fill the empty holes where the wings attached to the watch. FYI: If you have sharp scissors and a lighter, you can convert any NATO strap into a Zulu strap by cutting off the short strap and melting the frayed ends together.

EXCELLENT INFORMATIVE "ON HANDS" REVIEW ... Thanks for all the HELPFUL hints especially about good fitting screwdrivers ... Not a fan of AniDigi G-Shocks as they look too Complicated for old timers (explains why I only have ONE Casio Titanium Pathfinder in my collection) & I was 100 % sure that New Orange Ballistic Strap would "Screw Up" your already fine G-Shock's APPEARANCE ... Must admit I WAS WRONG, as that Bright ORANGE Strap really "POPS" & IT LOOKS GREAT ... Must say however, that BEAUTIFUL Blue & Yellow GA-110 is starting to "TALK TO ME" as the More I See It The More I Like It. Keep Up The Fine Reviews, Major Jim, USMC

Thanks Jim! The Rangeman is a little complicated, and I think most people would not remember all the functions and would have to peruse the manual time to time. The GA-110 however is considerably simpler and I have no trouble working it out even from a "first principles" approach. As mentioned I'm a sucker for black-orange combo, it's one of those color combos that just works, with blue-silver being another favorite of mine. Cheers, Ivan.

Awesome video. Just a small note, regarding the placement of the sensor cover at time 6:07, I don't believe it is fully symmetrical, although it will fit both ways if you look at the cover it has a little notch on the inside on one of the longer sides...I believe that notch should be facing down as it would correspond the a similar notch in the same place/position on the metallic plate of the sensor itself. If I am wrong, anybody, please correct me, as I am very curious about it too...I just came to this conclusion by observing the sensor area and the covers closely. Anyways just wanted to bring this to your attention as it might matter in the way the sensor reads or behaves, having that opening there which may be necessary to let in air or something like that. Anyways fantastic vid, and thank you for the tutorial :)

@@PerthWAtch My pleasure. Looking at the vid at 6:10 I can see the white notch, and looks like you placed it facing up instead of down. Again this could be nothing haha, just visually it looks like one of the sides has that white mark, the other doesn't, and the sensor metal plate has an opening on the bottom side so it's merely an assumption on my side at this point, that the 2 may need to line up, wish I could find some more concrete info on this online but I haven't been able too at this point.

Range man Japanese import edition has carbon fiber insert inside a poly resin strap. You can order just that strap but it's $80 since it has to be imported.

It looks awesome. My straps are braking of after 10 years of non stop wear. Amazing watch, but i am tempted to buy Frogman, wich was my wish for long time. Its expensive so that is an big drawback :(

I changed the bezel cover of my rangeman with this video however my new bezel cover did not come with the decorative screws is there a way I can take the ones out of my old bezel without destroying it and put them in my new one?

Yes, you should be able to just pop them off the resin bezel.

There have been some reports of the plastic lugs of this watch breaking on some people. The only solution to this is a new case which costs around $200. How has your rangeman held up and do you subject your rangeman to much abuse? Thanks.

Yeah I have heard/read those reports myself... I don't really subject my watches to a lot of stress otherwise than water submersion, so I guess I'm not a good guide for that. My Rangeman is holding up perfectly fine, I have left it on this NATO adapter ever since this video.

Hi Mark... it's hard to be 100% sure but I have a feeling that the GW-7900 will be compatible. It's got those shoulder pieces that cover up the spring bar area so I can't even looks at photos to check, but it would be worth asking/checking on forums to see if other owners may be able to confirm this. I'm always suspicious of these aftermarket parts. I doubt the quality and testing is anything like casio does. I will always stick with original parts personally.

hi,i received the NATO strap and adapters from vario yesterday i was too thinking the same but after receiving the item, i changed my mind. the resin adapter is simply not easy to trim using sharp pen knife to be used with my gw-9400 the quality seems exactly as you get in stock resin straps & strap is weaved mesh with high quality nylon....
