Billy, there is some foxing of the paper in the folio. That happens when it is in contact with acidic materials but can be conserved to reverse the damage.

Y’all rock. Great crew today as always. The toilet room humor was so kindergarten, but I was laughing like crazy. Just the chuckle I needed today. What a fantastic book on chateaus. In the transcript, it called the chateaus shadows among other funny interpretations of what was being said. Crack on guys.

You need an acid-free archival box in which to store that wonderful book. Get some washable white cotton curators’ gloves to wear when you handle the book and touch the pages…….you want Ernest and Archie to be able to have that book when they are old enough to appreciate it so handle and store it with care.

🤣 Silly boys! So nice to see you having a laugh on the job. Extended dream team today = lots of work getting done. The book of chateaus was one of your best finds, I could lose myself in a book like that. Nice that you are offering prints to sell. The chapel really does need to be open for weddings - it's a stunning space and with the courtyard and other spaces you have you could make a killing renting wedding space. Again, thanks for sharing lads!

I am a New Subscriber as of today. As I started watching, I thought that you were fixing the Convent, so you could live there. I can probably tell you a few things about being in a Convent. We’re they a Cloistered Order ? I went to the Convent of the Sacred Heart for 4 years. We were on an island, surrounded by water. Here in the US a Family can send a teenager to go to Private Prep School. We lived at the Convent. My Father sent me, because he most definitely did not want me in High School with Boys. I LOVE what you are doing. My Convent was absolutely Amazing, Gorgeous, Spectacular. I didn’t really mind going there, except, we were surrounded by water and the Front Gates were wrought iron and 50 feet high. Custom made with vines and flowers. We also had George, who walked around holding leashes for 6 Doberman Pinchers.

That book is stunning, and so are you prints! As a collector and maker of books (just a hobby), antiquarian book experts have learned from experience that it's best NOT to wear gloves while handling books. The clumsiness of them and not being able to feel the pages as you handle them can cause more damage than bare skin ever will. The exception would be for the old books (and wallpaper) from about the mid-1800s to early 1900s, especially the green ones, that can have arsenic in them; you definitely don't want to touch or even breathe around those. It's wonderful that you're sharing the prints and doing such a meticulous job of it, well done!

The price you are charging is EXTREMELY reasonable, particularly when you take into account that there is free worldwide shipping! Love them all, unfortunately I won't be able to ~this~ month, but will definitely be a buyer in the future. You may also consider leasing some of the images to Chateau owners or Museums who could use the image on merchandise like Shirts, Mugs, or Beer Koozies, with the stipulation that art prints are only sold through your website. Good luck, and thank you for another great video!

Beautiful prints. I'd love to know if any of the other chateaus from the various chateau folks on youtube/chateau DIY are in the book! Also, tip, even w/ how thick the cardboard is, if you're hand-writing the addresses, write it on before you put the print in otherwise it might transfer to the print.

@@Jmp5nb sadly it was a nessecary evil there were no machinery then. The only tools one had was humans. Life then was cheap and whilst in some case their blood sweat and tears may have benefitted the betterment of society buildings etc in lots of cases there was abuse and greed of the wealthy and rich. Summary we owe the beauty of construction we see to the lives of those we dont. And Thank God we are living now and not then

Let us know when you make a print like these of your Chateau. I think your Chateau outshines them all. It's just got everything, including the chapel. It's beautiful. I watched your ghost door from last time. On your sisters podcast, during one of the days they were working on the apartment, they were both standing away from the door working, and as they were working, that door opened slowly and it closed. No one there. Thank you for sharing it all with us. It would be interesting to look up all of those Chateau's in those books and see if they are still around and what they look like now.
