I have got a pro race gp-s1 on mine. It’s basically just a slash cut metal tube and it isn’t that loud. The cat box takes out most noise. I think you would only need to put that db killer back in if you changed the the headers and got rid of the cat box.

Possibly, especially if your Akropovic has the same design, doubt they would change for each exhaust. I was lucky to watch someone else doing it first, so I felt comfortable to drill into a £700 exhaust 😅

You ditched that heavy arse breadbox and got a straight through yet? Sounds are worlds apart. If you do, grab a RapidBike Evo with the Akra tune to suit the CB1000R. Really opens up that dead spot between 3k-6k and cannot complain about a 20hp gain.
