@MotoMirius Жыл бұрын
Depends which version of bike you have - KTM were rolling out an emissions update around this time. But KTM note that you can fit the Akrapovic slip on without any change to the air/fuel ratio. Very likely a similar slip on will also be OK. 'Better sound' is very subjective so I can't help you with that. The safest option is to add something like a FuelX Lite (not pro) and then decat to achieve the best sound.

I would suggest drilling a hole that aligns with the screw. And cover the hole up with a rubber plug from akrapovic, just like the previous akrapovic exhausts.

@Mamun or rashid 53mm is the width. The long DB killer in the video thumbnail is the Akrapovič DB killer. The only advantage to any DB killer is the level of noise it permits - different killers are quieter or louder than others, longer ones are often quieter - none are better.

Hello, quick question - the 125ccm KTM duke, and many other 125ccm bikes got a small disk between exhaust and pipe, its to "weaken" the engine. IF you remove this disk - does the engine needs to be new configurated to make it run smooth to the new exhaust flow? I mean, the disk almost covers the whole pipe, its only 5mil to let the gas out
@MotoMirius8 ай бұрын
Hi, with the KTM, it's partly because the exhaust parts are the same as the 390. The issue is that the 125 is only putting 1/3 of the volume of gas into the same pipe as the 390 and part of engine tuning is to use the exhaust to help suck out the combustion gases from the chamber, assisting in sucking the new fuel air mix into the chamber for combustion. If you do remove or reduce the constrictor then yes, you should add more fuel since there will be more air flow.

A small 1/4 or 1/2" hole saw and you could remove the dB killer pretty quickly... I have done mufflers both ways... I used the same method you did on my Street Cup, to gut the stock cans, and then replace the insides with a length of 2.75" perforated stainless steel tubing wrapped in muffler packing material... and then riveted the caps back on.
