Removing the Engine from the Opel GT | That was harder then we thought!

Today we will be removing the motor from the Opel GT! This process was not as strait forward as we thought It would be. The Opel GT motor has to be removed from the bottom of the car rather then taking out the motor from the top. Overall it took longer and we learned a few interesting things about the Opel GT! I hope you all enjoyed the video and we would love to hear your thoughts on it.

TOOK MY ENGINE OUT THROUGH THE TOP,BARE HANDS , IT WORKED.

Ya I have heard a few people do it that way and it not to hard to do. We figured it wouldn’t be to hard to lift the car since it’s so light

Yeah. Because we were motor swapping, we used the Opel motor as a “dry run” for the Miata motor we shoved back in the hole. Would love a follow if you dig what we have going on!

@@codylynn44 yep I’ll give you guys a follow we are thinking about motor swapping the engine also just not 100% sure yet

@@ThreePedalGarage you should. We did a lot of digging and there are a few combos that fit without manipulating/changing the hood. The 2.3 Zetec has become more popular, Miata fits. I don’t know that anyone has tried. K-series or similar. The F-series out of the Honda 2000 is too tall. There are options if you choose to go down that road. OpelGT.com is a great forum source
