Thanks for the great tutorial. Its full blown cold winter in the midwest so time to get into one of my favorite hobbies of horology. I admit removing and reinstalling hands gives me great anxiety. I yet again broke the second’s hand of my never opened Orient Ray today while trying to address a loose spinning dial (now determined to be broken dial feet??) and unfortunately, OEM hands don't appear to be easy to source for matching lume. I did learn from great videos like yours to always pull the seconds hand first and always use the Esslinger (cheaper than Bergeon and does the same thing) dial protectors. As an extra measure, I have also been placing a clear thin poly film over the hands before applying the Presto puller which for me is bending the hands so I won't be using this technique any longer. I’d say hand removal and reinstall gives me more anxiety than working on ETA keyless works which I just resolved on another watch due to a broken setting lever jumper. I also bent those hands slightly but was able to straighten them. I need much more practice. Thanks for the educational help : )

WHY do you remove the second hand first vs removing all three hands?
