Removing the starter motor from a 1982 Toyota Corolla (3TC)

This video shows how to remove the electric starter (reduction-type) from a Toyota with a 3TC motor (1.8L). 2TC is likely to require similar steps. Be sure to chock the rear wheels before lifting the front end. The two screws that hold the starter in place have 14mm heads. The three nuts that retain the exhaust are also 14mm. You will need an extension and a deep socket to reach them.
